Went here for lunch after looking up reviews about the place. Ending up getting BBQ Jeyuk and half order of wings. The spicy... pork was good along with the glass noodles and rice. Definitely good flavor. I would have liked it spicier, but I usuallylike more spice heat than most. The wings were also nice and crunchy as I would expect. A side of pickled radish was also anice kick. The people inside are really nice. She explained the menu and was very detailed and thoughtful. tldr; This is one of the best Korean Fried Chicken places in all of Atlanta (including the ones in Duluth?which is a formidable... feat). Everyone knows that Duluth is where Korean Fried Chicken is at but when we saw that this was only ~15minutes away(compared to the 40min drive to Duluth) with 152reviews that were all 5stars, we had to try it. We got the Mala Chicken and itwas fantastic (though I recommend getting the other more traditional chicken flavors if you're not a fan of Chinese Malatang orSpicy food). The two of us ate the entire chicken and it was not a small chicken. Plus they use fresh (NOT frozen) chicken andyou can tell when you bite into it. Incredible flavor and spicyness!! Awakens entire mouth to fullness. It's spicy k-chicken at its best. 3/4 of fried chickenl... fried to perfection with crunchiness, topped with whatever sweet/spicy flavor and vegetables. The chicken literally dancesinside your mouth! A dash of Awesome in all the flavors! Family friendly and healthy portions for a great taste of Korean fusion. The gal-bi was... well cooked, side dishes were solid. The tacos were spicy and savory. Kimchi Red is a cute contemporary restaurant. Service is friendly and welcoming. Kimchi Red has the most amazing dishes. Great... for family style dining too. I highly recommend the Ma La Chicken if you love crispy chicken with a nice spice level. Of courseI wanted to try everything on the mouthwatering menu so no doubt I will be back to sample the rest of the menu. Read more

Let me start by saying, this place was so welcoming! The staff are very helpful at suggesting items, the history on it, and what... they are. I came here with my mom on a trip to Atlanta. At first we couldn?t decide between here or the Indian cuisine nextdoor. When I walked back to the car after checking to see if they had any take-out menus my mom said ?oh yea! I've had a lot of Korean fried chicken in my life living in the SF Bay Area and traveling often to LA. Once I took my first bite... into my fried chicken drumstick (the original) at KIMCHI RED, my taste buds were completely blown away ????. I've never had Kfried chicken like this. They brine their chicken for at least 24 hours, so it's seasoned well throughout and is incrediblymoist and juicy. The chicken is fried to order, so it's incredibly fresh and crispy, and welcomingly hot. The amount of friedcoating on the chicken is perfection. Just the right amount of batter to coat the skin, yet it was so light, almost airy, and itsticks to the skin so well unlike the type of fried chicken where you take a bite and it all falls apart. The manager andcustomer service was so wonderful, patient as they talked me through the different options to help me select the right meal forme, and also making sure to check on me as well to make sure I was happy with the food.
