This is a very unimposing storefront restaurant in Standale that is a hidden gem. I ordered the Curry Pad Thai (medium spice)... and Thai iced tea. The flavors were perfect. The spice was not too much for medium level but not so spicey to keep me fromtrying more spice the next time. The tea was perfect. They need to work on the overall atmosphere but they definitely got thefood side of things handled. Read more

I really enjoy the taste of the food here! The drunken noodle is the best around and everyone is friendly and service is usually... reasonably quick. You get a great portion for the price as well. Unfortunately, something they use gives my wife, son, and Imild upset stomach every time we try it. Not like we're gonna die upset, but just ohh that's not sitting well. We noticed acorrelation long ago when they were still in Allendale, but were in denial about it, but unfortunately can no longer claim itsjust a coincidence. We have tried other dishes there, with the same result. So we have been trying other Thai places and havenot had the same effect. This is really disappointing as we both love the flavors and the convenience of how close it is to WestGR and GVSU, but we have to avoid it. Personally I have an iron stomach and can degest just about anything, including theultra-spicy paqui one chip challenge, with no real issues, so this is a mystery to me. I still suggest giving it a try if youlove Thai food as much as we do, but this has been our experience so I wanted to share in case someone else has similar issues.I imagine we'll give it another try soon though, we just can't help ourselves lol. My wife and I ordered food here about 3 or 4 times. We called in one order, and ordered the other two at the restaurant. We had... several issues with the food here. The first was the spiciness level. The menu does mention that it is spicier compared to otherrestaurants. We ordered the mild spicy level, the second spice level. The first spice level is no spice. It was very very spicy.I don't understand why they can't have some kind of middle ground, or follow or established restaurants spice guidelines. Inever enjoyed the food that much. The sesame chicken was terrible. Some "pieces" were only made of the batter, while others hadextremely small pieces of chicken in them, but again mostly batter. The meat was tough as well. The food always seemed a littlebit stale or not fresh. We ended up throwing it away. Wife said the rice was very low quality. Other reviews mentioned that theymay just microwave things to heat them up, this may be accurate. Sometimes orders were extremely quick to be finished, within acouple of minutes. It was stupidly hot though (temperature). They also seem obsessed with taking our phone number, which I foundweird. One worker told us she couldn't continue without a phone number. They did mention a future perk system, but I have mydoubts. I doubt we will ever go back. Read more

Their food has been good from past experiences, but recently we haven?t been able to get through at all when calling to order.... We have tried multiple times. Online ordering is also disabled. As the restaurant is clearly open, it seems like someone insideis not willing to take carry out orders. Read more
