Have came to this Allen location twice. The meats do not get enough flavor, especially the ribs which are plain and hard. One... would expect Ruby?s with much better quality and the meat on ribs should be pull right off of done right. Asked the cashier, hesaid it all depends on who the cook is and how long it?s smoked. We don?t eat here often but when we do it?s delicious! We picked up food today and I was so disappointed! The chop beef... sandwiches tasted like it had been soaked or drenched in lighter fluid. It had a really strange after taste. We had to throw itaway. Lastly, the portions were definitely lacking today based on what we paid it was not sufficient. Good bbq place with great selection of meats. The staff is really friendly and very generous. I got the moist brisket which... lacked flavor. The Ribs were really smoky and was not bad, but my favorite was the smoked potato. Its a meal on its own. Theirbanana pudding is also delicious. Next time i might try the peach cobbler too. Perhaps the people cooking the food are new but I had a bad experience recently. I love Rudy's, but I love them at their other... locations. This one is not consistent. A few days ago I got super fat slices of brisket in my meal, and I mean it was slicedhuge. The baby back ribs were terrible and had a terrible smell so I didn't eat them. I ordered again days later thinking maybethey had an off day. The brisket was super bland. This time I tried the pork ribs and they were OK. I'm super disappointedbecause I've been eating Rudy's for a long time but again, at different locations. This one isn't consistent so I won't be goingback. Read more

I went in Saturday the 28th and bought an entire whole brisket from the store, my first and last time I will ever give them... business. It was 178$ which is completely fine. The brisket was a little over 10lbs it looked great, but when I when to trim itlater that day, it was very tough and was not completely done! I was extremely disappointed. I had a party of 11 people and itended up being an absolute disaster! If I was the owner of that restaurant I would absolute be apauled at the product that wasgiven out. I would definitely not recommend this place. Follow up review, the regional manager got back in contact with me thefollowing day after my review, and took care of my brisket and gave me another one that was excellent! Good meat selections, but I found Rudy's to be lacking in the sides/vegetable options available, especially compared to other... BBQ places. The brisket was very dry and over cooked, and seemed to be more fat than edible meat. My husband enjoyed the turkeyand banana pudding, but the brisket sandwich later upset my stomach and gave me heartburn. Prices are high for what you get.Plenty of tables and nice dine-in though. The staff were as friendly as teenagers can be on a Tuesday before closing time.Decent for a chain restaurant, but I'd prefer to visit somewhere like Soulman's or Spring Creek Barbecue for good Texas BBQ andgood value for my money.
