Compared to all I've ever experienced, this IHOP branch is very different. The waitress showed little interest in us (6 people).... The service was not to our taste. The table we had wasn?t that clean. She did a great job of ignoring us when we tried to calldespite that her supervisor informed her in front of us but she kept ignoring us. Avoid find another on the same N75. They do have their own rule. We were with baby and we asked that we would like to sit near... to window and she said that it's for morning breakfast only. I have been eating at this IHOP with my friends and family since it opened. Friday, I witnessed something that I just can't put... out of my mind. I am ashamed of myself for sitting there and allowing this to happen. There was this male waiter who wasyelling at a waitress, my waitress. His behavior was out of control. He was following her around, yelling and cussing at her. Itwas ridiculous. I don't know where the manager was, but something needed to be done. I am ashamed that I did not intervene. Thiswaitress kept trying to walk away from him and he kept aggressively pursuing her. This gal was doing her best to do her job, andwas even trying to help the other servers by cleaning tables, not just her own, so that customers could be seated. This waiterwouldn't let up. He kept pursuing her and causing a very uncomfortable scene. I have had this waitress several timespreviously. She is always friendly, hard working, and does a great job. No matter what he may have been upset about, she did notdeserve the wrath he was subjecting her (and the rest of us) to. Eating out these days is expensive and people want to relaxand enjoy the experience, even if it's just pancakes. We do not want to spend our hard earned money in a place where the workersare screaming at their coworkers. It will be a while before I choose to visit this IHOP again, but if I do, I will REFUSE tohave this abusive, poor excuse for a man as my server! And I will NOT be a bystander in this again. Next time, I will call thepolice AND I will walk back to the kitchen and find the manager myself to come out and get his employee under control. Excellent service, this is the place where original AMERICAN pancakes are served. Authentic American breakfast experience, all... kinds of combos and original American style cuisine. Open 24h. Spacious and clean. Special drinks are served includingmilkshakes. Best place for breakfast but also lunch and dinner. Read more
Good service except for the fact that it takes at least 20-30 minutes longer than told to prepare food and no updates are given... until you receive your food. Horrible timing, needs new kitchen staff entirely if they?re gonna take twice as long as it?ssupposed to. I was told they were just waiting on the pancakes for my order because I asked for an update and it came out 15minutes later. Since when do 2 regular pancakes take 15 minutes to cook? Especially with the quality they?re serving, you?dthink it?d taste better overall for having to wait so damn long to be fed. If I wanted to wait an hour for food, I?d cookmyself. Read more
Came in on Father?s Day, super packed and understaffed they went above and beyond as a staff. Genuinely the best service I?ve... ever had we will come back and make this our regular breakfast place. Huge shout out to Tania and John they were awesome andthey were so on top of it. Someone give them a raise!!! I visit this location mostly late dinner time during the week so that is my perspective. It's sad to see a business in decline.... 2020 wasn't easy on restaurants either we know but this location has been in gradual decline for years now. I've been going tothis IHOP since it opened here in Allen. The level of service and the atmosphere (especially in the evenings) has definitelygone down. 4 stars is for the good tasting food and food value because the menu is redesigned and the prices are verycompetitive and very reasonable. The limited-time happy hour $5-meal options available Mon-Fri until 10pm are a tremendous dealand more food for your money than fast food! That's a good thing. There are still some great servers there that make you feel athome and welcome like Mr. Ali but sadly most are not well trained as servers and don't have much experience or outgoing friendlypersonality. Experiencing the iconic IHOP from years ago with great servers and actual restaurant managers on site payingattention to details is something I miss. This creates atmosphere and atmosphere is part of what's missing, not just in thisplace but many others as well. I hope to see this location be cleaned more in detail and maybe they could play some softbackground music to help the vibe. When Ali is working, he makes you feel like family and does an amazing job serving you with asmile and is very attentive even with a pep in his step. Other than that, recently it feels like a lot of adolescentunsupervised servers who may or may not realize they are coming across as if they don't want to be working at all andpurposefully or unintentionally make you feel they don't want you there. "Welcome to IHOP" used to be the greeting upon arrivingin years past, now they just look at you and grab a menu and start walking to a table. Stopped by to grab a bite late night and only one server was working. I got my good in a timely manner however the family next... to me was on an hour wait. The server delivered half of their order and then proceeded to give a full order to a 3 top that wasseated well after this family. They asked when the rest of their food would come and the server was very dry and notunderstanding saying it was being made now. The children with this family started to cry and saying how hungry they were so thefamily asked one more time for the food and the server rolled her eyes. The family then calmly and politely walked out to whichthe server rudely and loudly stated to the kitchen ?You don?t need to start the kids meal, they walked out? all while smirking.She didn?t offer the family to box up what was cooked, she didn?t offer empathy to the situation and ultimately just didn?tcare. It was sad watching that family leave. I would expect better when the restaurant is at fault. There was some guy in tennisshoes and a sweater walking around the kitchen ?observing? drinking coffee the whole time, not sure if he was a manager or notbut he didn?t not offer any help either.
