The customer service was nice but the fried catfish was not fried at all. It was extremely too hot to begin with and this is... coming from someone who loves hot food. And I do mean not, not spicy. And the fish tasted like it had probably been frozen andthen they tried to cook it but it didn't work. The batter was very light colored like it had never touched the frying pan ordeep fryer, and it was soft to the touch and the fish itself was bland with no seasoning and the texture was mushy. The filletjust fell apart in your hand when you picked it up to bite it. It was just not good. The French fries, and okra were just subpar. Nothing to write home about, although they were better than the fish. I've eaten at this restaurant several times a coupleof years ago so I'm not sure if they got new owners or what changed, but unfortunately I had to be honest and give this placeone star. Hopefully my order was a fluke and this is not the norm but I haven't decided if I'll go back and give it anotherchance. I spent $37 so that was a lot of money wasted. Read more
We came here for a group memorial and we had great service. We ordered two beers and three appetizers. The fried pickles were... delicious, but VERY salty. The catfish nuggets were also good, but VERY salty. Lastly, the fries were good, but they were VERYsalty... See a trend here? All of our food was over salted. I like salt, but the chefs/cooks were very heavy handed with thesalt. Read more
Came here for oysters and mud bugs Showed up with no call ahead and 20 of my closest friends in tow. They accommodated us... immediately. Spent 3 hours and left completely satiated and happy. Will definitely be back. Read more

Excellent service by Allie(?), authentic Cajun food. I had the shrimp poboy and it didn't disappoint at all. There were enough... shrimp for 2 poboys (please don't change that). The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. My server was attentive but notintrusive. The best service I had in a long time. I will definitely return! Read more
We randomly stopped by while shopping next door in the middle of a weekday, and were pleasantly surprised by the food! We really... enjoyed the crabcakes, crawfish etouffe + fried crawfish tail combo, and the blackened shrimp and crawfish pasta! Price was goodin my opinion too! We will be back. Read more
Well, what can I say? North Texas is a hard place for someone from the gulf coast to move to. Dodie's wasn't the worst "Cajun"... food I have had up here, they had the decency not to put tomatoes in their gumbo (that ain't Cajun, it's Creole), I just wishthey had put some meat in it. I had the Crawfish Etoufee and the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, both came with rice, and in bothinstances it was on the crunchy side of al denté. The gumbo tasted as if the rue had gotten away from the cook, so instead ofthe toasty goodness it had a slightly bitter, burnt taste. As I mentioned above, there was almost no sausage or chicken to befound in the bowl. The Etoufee was a bit better, but the tails were very obviously frozen, to the point the texture was a bitoff. The Fried Crawfish tails were good, but the fries dominated the plate. The kiddo got some kind of blackened "Cajun"chicken Alfredo of which she only ate about a fifth. The appetizers were pretty good though! The fried green tomatoes weretasty. The stuff jalapenos were alright. Our server was pretty awesome, so there's that. Read more
Came on a spur of the moment with a co-worker after our shift. We had to flag down a server, but after that it was a great... experience & we caught the kitchen before the main menu was closed. There is a late night menu so be aware they are not thesame. Great customer service & we really enjoyed the food. I'll be back to try the seafood boil. ???????? Read more
