It's a self served restaurant so be prepared to order at the cashier and get your drink by your self. They still asking for the... tip so it's a bit funny for me :)). The food was so so. I've tried korean bulgogi in over 20 states and this place has theworst. The beef looks like just taken from the frozen with the weird pale pink color instead of the normal dark brown red.Couldn't eat it. My question is: why are they even making business and getting so many good reviews with this type of foodquality and customer service? Read more

Friendly service and delicious food. It was slightly more expensive than I anticipated but not outlandish for a local... family-owned and operated restaurant. The dishes are all prepared fresh onsite using high quality ingredients. Quick to thetable, too, and very clean inside. I'll be back. Read more

A rare find! Wondrous and tasty and homely cooked foods! I ordered the Bulgogi Tdukbaegee and I enjoyed every bite I had! I... would consider the portion generous as I?m a big eater and I was very full after gulping all the soup! Read more

Dawon serves up the most amazing, comforting, authentic Korean food in the Allen area, and their bento options are my absolute... favorites! When I previously worked in Allen, this was the place I'd go for lunch. They have these bento boxes that werefilling, delicious, and worth the cost! Each bento usually lasts me for lunch and dinner, which isn't bad considering they wereonly $12 (prices probably went up now). I always get the bulgogi bento. It came with rice, bulgogi, banchan (cucumber, kimchi, cabbage, fish cakes), and fried egg, making these bentos super colorful!! ???? My boyfriend asked to change some side dishesbecause he doesn?t like zucchini & kimchi and the owner was super accommodating. I only dined in once after they reopened theirdining area but it's a very cute space. The restaurant is a little dark, and they use disposable utensils. There are 6-8 tablesbut most people order the food to go anyways. The couple is very friendly and I just love all my experiences here! Read more

Called at 8pm to ask about being able to bring in our own alcohol for dinner. They said yes so I hung up and got myself and... Girlfriend ready to leave. About 7 or 8 minutes later I received a call back asking if it was for dine in the following day. Iinformed her it was for tonight. She said that the owner said only take out left for tonight. It was 8:20pm and we live in theneighborhood behind them only 2 minutes drive. I was told no can?t come tonight, I asked if their kitchen closes east orsomething? She said no it doesn?t close early but they close at 9pm. Which we were familiar with and planned on being there by8:25 latest, not everyone eats at 6pm in the evening. So I suggest if your plan on going there do not show up anywhere near thelast hour of business or you will be turned away! 1 of my favorite local spots just lost points in my book! 9pm Close means 9pmClose not be in by 8pm or else?? We went for a late dinner about 30 min until close. We asked if they minded us staying a couple minutes after or if we needed to... pack up and finish at home. They told us to finish eating not to worry about the time. Basically: Food comes out quick, kindstaff, great service, and DELICIOUS food! Highly highly recommend. I will DEFINITELY be coming back. :) Read more

Good Korean food. We had the Bulgogi Bento box and a Bibimbap. The portions are big, food is prepared fresh.

Delicious! We were looking for some good Korean food in McKinney/Allen and came across this place. We picked up our order and... ate at home. Everything was very well packaged, the portions were large, and the food was flavorful! The Bulgogi came with lotsof fun Banchan. Some of the Banchan items: Kimchi, green onion pancake, slaw, potatoes, spicy cucumbers. We also tried theTdokboki it was also great! def opt for the cheese and ramen. The portions are huge and perfect to share. Give this place a try! Read more
