This place was fantastic. Authentic tyled Mexican. We stopped by here on the way to a PA trip we were taking and the food( three... tacos) came quick, was hot and fresh. The beans tasted authentic with the right amount of spices. It was so good and decentlypriced that on the way back from our trip, we stopped by again. Same thing. Piping fresh hot food, all fresh. I got the PlataAzteca.-- alittle too salty. The haddock was cooked tender and flaky, the salmon was not perfect texture, a little overdone asmost salmon at restaurants are, but mushrooms and onions cooked pefectly and everything went together well. Definitely, WAYbetter than any Mexican restaurants around here. Read more

We were in the area and decided to check this place out as we all love Mexican food. This place has a really good atmosphere.... Very clean and the staff were attentive and nice. Our food was pretty darn authentic (not the best we've had, but decent). Wewere not displeased at all. The portions were plentiful and the wait time was minimal. I definitely recommend trying this placeout if you haven't yet. Read more

One of my favorite mexican restaurants. Great salsa, good chips, amazing meals. Be sure to try their mini quesadillas!

This was the only Mexican restaurant within a 30 mile radius so options were zero! So I will say compare with a taco bell. Taste... and texture is very weird! Very tomato and water/runny based. I still ate it. But after I had horrible burps /weand it wasdefinitely after taste of strange flavors. This definitely took salsa to dress it up also. I would not seek or go out of my wayfor this place! I was desperate for Mexican! Read more

This was our go-to spot after having the worst dining experience EVER at El Sombrero. However, they've been losing our business... the past few months. Service has been slow, it takes forever to even get your order in, food doesn't seem to be as flavorful andsometimes the same dish comes with sides and other times it doesn't. The last straw for us was when we went there for lunch, weget our drink order in, the drinks are brought to our table and I started drinking mine and then noticed a HUGE clump ofsomething disgusting clinging to the inside of my glass and all over the outside of both mine and my fiancé glass. AbsolutelyDISGUSTING! There is no way they didn't notice that while putting ice or pop in the glass. They didn't offer anything to try tomake the situation right. We haven't been back since. This place is going to be tough to review because there were positives and negatives... I had to average them out and give 3... stars. The atmosphere is dark and uninviting. The menu is expansive which for some that may be great because they offer so manyitems, but for others it just makes it confusing. Service was fine. Nothing spectacular. So here is where it gets wonky... Thefood tastes great! Just very poorly executed. We ordered the Don Tequila dip (cheese dip with meat and pico). The flavor wayreally good but it was the consistency of a brothy soup. You couldn't even pick it up with the chips because it was so soupy. Iordered the shrimp nachos which again tasted great but made no sense at all. First the shrimp were huge, which is greattypically, but not for nachos. They should have been smaller or chopped up some. Also, they had the tails on them still. What? Now I have to de-tail each of the shrimp before eating? And these are nachos remember. Nachos are meant to be picked up and justeaten as is. You shouldn't have to pick things apart from them first. Also the peppers and onions were massive, just like theshrimp, so they should have been cut way smaller. But again, the flavors were delicious! I would say had the shrimp and peppersand onions been on a fajita platter, this whole thing would have made perfect sense, just not for nachos . Margaritas werepretty decent. So atmosphere gets a thumbs down, flavor of food gets a thumbs up, execution gets a double thumbs down. Read more
