We came here because we had a coupon from the Algonquin Library. We were pleasantly surprised! First of all, it was the... cleanest restaurant I have ever been to! I ordered the steak nachos which were HUGE! The chips were great and so were all thetoppings! No skimping here! My husband had the pork stew dinner which was very flavorful. I was craving Mexican food one evening and decided to give this new local place a try based on the reviews that I've read.... Unfortunately, I was not as impressed as other reviewers. I really wanted to like the food as I was hoping that this would beour new local place for some good Mexican food. Sadly the food was not really good and did not leave a good impression. Weplaced a pick-up order through DoorDash. The order was ready in time and was waiting for me once I got there. But once westarted eating the food our enthusiasm started to disappear. We ordered the following: - Chicken Enchiladas green (seepicture) - Chicken taco - Salsa (see picture) - Suizo Burrito - Guacamole small The food overall lacked flavor. It was reallybland and uninspired. But what really disappointing me was the salsa. It was as if it was diluted with water. Really bland andjust tasteless and honestly probably the worst salsa I've ever had. I hate giving bad reviews to small, local places and Imight try to give this place another shot in a few months to see if their food has improved, but for now I will be staying awayfrom Amuzgo's offerings. First time visiting this place and trying a chimichanga, not my thing but it tasted good, huge portions, super friendly service,... nice food presentation the only thing I didn?t like was the sauce????it was way too watery and zero spice. HORRIBLE BURRITOS! Worst we ever had. Our burritos were flat! I got carryout and when I opened the box at home and saw these, I... was shocked. These two and two tacos was almost $30. I cannot believe this place is still in business. We will NEVER go hereagain. No second chances because this is inexcusable. STAY AWAY! BEST ENCHILADAS VERDE AROUND- I am a big Mexican foodie, very picky and drive all over to find the best tacos, burritos and... enchiladas. Most places are bad. That?s why I don?t leave reviews, but this place really surprised me. Didn?t expect a superfavorable green salsa that is served warm from pan glazed on top of your freshly wrapped tortillas with your choice of meat. Ipersonally love them with Barbacoa or chicken. Yummm. Def some of the best barbacoa around. Wait there?s more their mole onesare also really good too. Those were my favorite until I tried the green ones. Read more
