Reviews for Roro's: Modern Lebanese in Alexandria, VA
Delicious food and amazing presentation! Wish we were closer so we could return.
Grandma's Tabbouleh, chicken, and Za?atar pie are all fresh and delicious! This awesome family owned business is tucked away in... a shopping plaza but worth the search. Read more
An unassuming but fantastic place. It has a small but very good menu ( I recommend trying the Grandma's tabbouleh) and an... absolute gentleman serving behind the counter. Read more
Amazing food and service. Will definitely go again. Very happy to see they have loofah for sale too.
It took a few minutes to find this place amongst adjacent industrial park businesses, but it was well worth the drive. Don't... look for stand-out signage or menu boards. It's actually a little restaurant inside what looks to be a wholesaler business. Theplace was clean and fairly spartan with just a few tables, the owner was super friendly and the food - the FOOD! Wow. Some ofthe freshest, flavorful Mediterranean dishes we've ever had and at prices that are perfect for a fulfilling lunch. We tookthings home and enjoyed them the next day. We'll be returning for sure even if just for the homemade pita chips. Read more
Tucked inside an industrial park, Roro's is an unassuming gem. I believe this place makes most of its money off its food truck... and the restaurant serves as a home base for their operations. I say that because the shop itself is relatively bare. There's ashelving unit containing all sorts of interesting Lebanese groceries, 7-8 tables tucked along two of the walls and a counter. That's it. This gives the restaurant an open, modern feel which is pretty unique in this space. We were the only folks in therestaurant when we went, so we immediately walked up to the counter and placed our orders. In terms of menu options, thereisn't much. Some shawarma options, a platter with all the shawarma, some sides to go with your shawarma and drinks. I ordered, surprise, surprise shawarma....of the steak variety. The price wasn't unreasonable, per say, but I did feel like I was gettingnickel-and-dimed a little bit because every add-on costed extra. I think I paid about $10 for my meal. Thatsaid...friends....the food was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. This was my first time having Lebanese food so I'll admit thatI don't have a lot to compare it to, but I'm convinced that good food is good food and Roro's knows how to make some goodfood. My meal was made fresh and stuffed inside two soft, delicious tortilla. It was incredible. The only complaint I had wasthat there wasn't more of it. I'd also recommend avoiding the pickled red things....whatever they are. All in all, I'lldefinitely be back here. Roro's is a quick, convenient and easy way to get a wonderful meal. Read more
