Totally recommend. Did a party for 15 people. Emailed to get better idea on how many people different items feed. Got a call... back with 1/2 hour, walked through various options and then placed an order online. Food was awesome and everyone lovedeverything. Ask about a discount code, save me a decent amount. I appreciated the variety of items, the ability to do glutenfree and especially vegan, we have a couple of those. A couple more things on the menu for vegans wouldn't hurt though. Theysaid delivery would be between 4:15 and 4:30 and it delivered at 4:30 on the button. I do wish later deliveries were an option.The party was at 6:30 pm so keeping food warm for 2 hours or reheating isn't ideal. That said, everything came in niceindividual containers, aluminum or plastic. I recommend getting a bunch of different sauces, our crew tried all the sauces.Brisket, Ribs and Mac & Cheese were the big hits, the peach baked beans are pretty stellar too. Read more
I am so glad we chose Old Blue to cater my daughter's wedding. The food was excellent -- appetizers, in particular, wowed the... guests -- but I came to understand through the planning process as well as the big day that they are so much more than just thefood. Their experience with weddings and other large events combined with a high level of energy and enthusiasm meant that ourevent was much more successful than it might have been in other hands. Worst barbecue I?ve ever had. It was practically inedible and I?ll eat almost anything. The meat was dry and chewy. Saw another... review suggesting that they serve leftover catering meat. That makes the most sense since I thought maybe it was old. (I ordereddelivery.) This is unfortunate since the sweet tea is perfect, the baked beans were probably the best I?ve ever had, thecoleslaw is good, the pickles are good (and I don?t even like pickles), and the sweet barbecue sauce is good. The mac & cheesewas pretty bad; The sauce was lumpy. The potato salad was dry. The brisket was cut too thick making it even more chewy anddifficult to choke down. Old Blue just catered my daughter's wedding and it could not have been better! in terms of service, quality, professionalism,... deliciousness -- you name it! All guests were impressed and food could not have been better. Kudos to the Chef! And what awell oiled team of people! Kelly is awesome! We used Old Blue BBQ to cater a Celebration of Life ceremony, and it was Fantastic. The food was great, we got rave reviews from... so many people and I was asked many times who the caterer was. The set up was exactly what we wanted and the staff was politeand professional. Dealing with Kelly (the Owner) was easy and pleasant. The food we had was a mixture of BBQ, Brunch and apicnic. Took care of everything! So first and foremost the food was DELICIOUS. Like people are still talking about it delicious! Which... is of course what you want out of a caterer, but even more important to me as a bride planning a wedding with unexpected COVIDcomplications, the team at Old Blue took so much off of my plate. They have decor you can borrow, they worked seamlessly with myvenue 48 fields so I barely had to think about anything set up/decor related, they transported all of our alcohol and decor tothe venue (I dropped it off with them the week before), and had awesome suggestions for bar menu etc. The team on the day of wassuper fun and did a great job (even making sure that I got the last of the mac and cheese sent home with me!).
