I met three co-workers for lunch. Because of varying schedules, we trickled in, and our server, Angela, patiently took the... orders of each of us as we arrived. She continued being awesome as she frequently checked that we were ok. I enjoyed my steakand eggs which is my post 10 a.m. diner/breakfast-leaning restaurant go to meal. Two of my friends had sandwiches and the otherhad a more traditional breakfast. (Sorry for the lack of specifics. The food was so so. The service to order to go sucked. The greeter did well but after that the service went down hill. The... person taking the order needed help putting in the order. I only substituted pork meat for turkey. Then when my order came andI was still sitting waiting. They never told me my order was ready, I asked and there it was. Our server was so delightful, friendly and helpful! The food was nothing short of delicious and service was quick despite the... restaurant being approximately 50% filled in capacity. Not bad for a place that is known for breakfast food.
An IHOP is an IHOP. It has the standard basic items, plus for my needs, they have waffles, which I get a craving for every 3-4... months. Service was standard, and depending on the server, some are very nice and quite friendly. Food is prepared as ordered(especially if there's a particular desired preparation) and the served portions are for the most part very adequate. It has alow-key quiet atmosphere, and usually is not crowded, except on the weekends (especially Sunday around brunch time). I alsolike that they're almost always opened (late for me) and I enjoy choosing from their different numerous entrees, as well aspaying for their rather inexpensive cost at the end. So if you want a low cost standard meal (either Breakfast Lunch or Dinner)at about any time of the day - then IHOP is a decent place to visit and enjoy a meal at. Read more
