Loved it! Excellent! I had the vegan sampler and was so happy to hear they give you such a wide variety of foods to try. I?ve... been to other Ethiopian restaurants that only give you 5 or 6 foods but Hawwi gives you 10 different vegan foods! And it was allso delicious. If I lived in the area I would be a regular but I am traveling and wanted to give Hawwi a try. So glad that Idid! Read more
We had the place to ourselves. It?s byob, but we didn?t know. Delicious and a nice adventure for our family. Very memorable.
Delicious! Very friendly! The food was delicious! Not sure if it was the day but I got street parking right around the corner.... They have gluten free injera which is always good. The Lega Tibs were AMAZING! Unfortunately, I was by myself and had time toswing by here as I was waiting for a flight. This was my first time eating Eithopian food. We got some falafel and hummus to start and ate every bit of it. I ordered dinner... and the server asked if I wanted rice or injera. When I said I didn't know what injera was they brought out a plate with some(it's a spongy type of bread) with some lentils to scoop up, I thought this was very nice of him. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and man was I impressed. The food was so flavorful and the meat was cooked to... perfection. I Will tell you that food adds up quick because I got full so fast but I couldn't stop eating it! Definetly has itsmom and pops type shop feel and will definitely be coming back. The owners Definetly know their returning customers becausepeople would drop in just to say hi. Really says a lot about the restaurant. Friendly neighborhood Ethiopian restaurant w/ great food and fair prices! The Vegan Sampler is awesome! It comes with lentils,... split peas, spinach, collard greens, green beans and carrots, potato and cabbage, and chickpea puree. Will definitely return! Read more
Went here to try Ethiopian food for the first time. We got a sampler plate and tried a little of everything. We will defiantly... go back. The coffee is so good you don't need nothing in it. Seems to be family run which is always a good spot to eat. If yourlooking to try out Ethiopian food this is the spot. Read more
