So happy this chain had made it to the DMV. The place wasn't too busy, I guess ppl don't know abt it yet. The pizza was... delicious, you can taste the fresh ingredients, and though you can build your own, their signature pizza are amazing! We'll beback! Read more

Amazing pizza, all the ingredients really show their quality. I personally like the red sauce better than the white sauce, but... everything tasted amazing! The tiramisu really capped the meal with a great sweet treat! Read more

I'm from New Haven and moved to Richmond. I am familiar with Pepe's. I haven't had any pizza close to any pizza in New Haven.... ( the pizza capital) I was excited to see Pepe in Virginia. We drove 2 hrs with some reservation. Will it be the same? Servicewas great and enjoyed our long missed birch beers. Pizzas were good but it tasted like something was missing. Not sure if it wasseasoning or different products. The pies were better than any we have had in Richmond but I guess we still have to drive 8hrsfor the real deal. It was a fun trip regardless.???? We really enjoyed our dining experience at Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana in Alexandria. Had the white clam pizza and the ... Margherita. Both were fantastic! We knew going in that the pizzas were going to be different from all other styles of pizza. Pepe's did not disappoint. As many already stated, the crust is thin, crispy, and a little charred. The white clam pizza hadthis unique taste to bring you near the ocean. The taste of the crushed tomatoes on the Margherita pizza was simply outstanding- not sweet and slightly spicy. Mmm mmm good :-) Am so glad that Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana decided to bring their styleof pizza to Northern Virginia. Note that if you order take out, there is a separate door to pick up your order around the sideof the restaurant. We saw so many people come into the main door for pick up only to be instructed to go around the corner. Read more

I ordered cheese and meat lover style pizza. Both were delicious. Really this place is far better than anywhere else for pizza.... The inside has a lot of large booths for groups. Takeout is at a separate doorway that hopefully gets better labeling. Placeseems to have lots of hired staff. Really worth a stop. My order was late for pickup so leave some extra time for the newkitchen. Update: we just went back for in person dining and it had some issues. The table was way too small for three pizzas.The clam pizza had burned garlic and was inedible. Finally one pizza wasn?t cut through and had to be resliced. We may stickwith takeout. Read more

I've been dreaming of this pizza since having it in New Haven last year, so of course I had to try them as soon as they opened.... There was a 1.5 hr wait for takeout on a Saturday night, so I encourage you to plan ahead. In New Haven, they run out of doughon some nights, not sure if that would happen here but something to keep in mind. You have to go around the corner to adifferent entrance to place and pick up orders to go. There was also a line out the door at the main entrance of peoplewaiting. This time I ordered a small white and a large mozzarella pie. The mozzarella pie was delicious, perfect char andfloppy thin slices with chewy, flavorful crust like I remember. The small white, however, was not. It was over baked by quite abit, leaving a very tough dough that literally cramped my jaw trying to eat it. I couldn't even take a bite without a lot ofeffort and ended up throwing it away. Seems like there are some kinks to straighten out, but it's worth a try. Maybe my nextexperience here will bump the rating up a bit, but for now, with the 1 star small pizza and 5 star large pizza, it's an even 3stars. Read more
