Ada’s on the River was a lovely dining experience! My aunt and I celebrated her birthday with brunch. It was our first time... and we started with a delicious glass of the viewfinder followed by The Woodfired Chicken Thighs as our appetizer. She had theMaine Lobster Omelette and I had Ada’s Breakfast. We sat outside since they have umbrella tables and a beautiful view of thePotomac River. Our server Sam was super friendly and attentive. Ada’s is great! It’s one of our go-to places in Alexandria. The food and drinks are consistently well made and high... quality. Service has always been great, orders come out at the appropriate times. Ambiance is simple but classy, windows havecurtains if the sun is too bright. Overall, highly recommend. Came for a birthday dinner celebration and this won't be our last time here. The food is brilliant with unique flavor profiles... and the execution was stellar. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal of: mini black brioche bread with orange butter and steak tartarefor appetizers, then scallops and aged hanger steak for entrees....we died over how tasty they were, and ended with divinedesserts of the Almond joy cake and the delicious lemon tart. Cocktails were icing on the cake for the evening. Pricing is highend so expect to pay that, but you literally are paying for the best meal ever, so well worth it. Ada's is a polished, laid back spot right on the water, featuring some great drinks and a tasty selection of fire-roasted food... options. We waited for a bit but got an amazing table outdoors with views right on the river. Our server was extremely friendly,and gave some great recommendations. The seared tuna was very good, as was the black brioche bread. We had a variety of dishes,but the seared scallops and roasted cauliflower stood out as our best plateau as well as the roasted mushrooms side. After somedebate, we decided to get the souffle. It was excellent, and the whole table enjoyed. Highly recommend coming here on a nice dayand enjoying the great atmosphere, drinks, and some fire roasted plates. Read more

First time trying this place, 10/10. I recommend the shrimp and avocado toast, it has grapefruit, radish, avocado shrimp and... other things but it is well seasoned and WOW! I wasn’t expecting it to be that good. Got a “bubbles on the river drink”which was good. Ada’s breakfast is also good but you really can’t mess up eggs. Service is wonderful and friendly.
