Good pizza for reasonable prices. Great location in an upscale area, too. They have a patio for hanging out.
We went on a busy Friday night so our experience might have been abnormal, but the service here was below average. We had to... wait 20 - 30 minutes past our reserved time and the waiter was unattentive. While our pizzas were very delicious and you can getsome awesome and unique flavors it hard to justify the big price tag they come with. We might come here once or twice a year forthe special pizzas but it's definitely not our go to when we want good pizza. Read more
Incredibly underwhelming. Lets start with the appearance: we sat outside which hasn't been swept or cleaned in a while because... there's trash and food all over the ground, chairs all over, food left on tables for the whole time we were there. In contrast,the fat burger side, which shares the patio, was spotless. For the prices they charge, the food is mediocre. Stay away from thepay-by-the-slice pizza because it looks like it's been under a heat lamp for a while, the cheese was sort of dried and clumpy.The pepperoni were the size if a nickel, and SO much grease. The server was apathetic and let us know she was tired and hadn'tslept much the night before. Just not very professional or concerned. The sauce Rotolo's uses for their food is authentic Italian sauce. It is hands down the best Italian food in Alexandria. I've... tried the pizza and lasagna and can't wait for more. I will try the pizza next time. Read more
I give it 4 stars for the experience offered here in this small town. 3 if I was back in San Antonio. Decided to see what... "calzone Wednesday" was about so I brought my daughter along. Food was good and I was about to leave my waitress a tip but mydrink had a film of I don't know what that left white chunks of reside floating in my cup and on my straw. Kind of killed thecalamari before I thought about leaving my review. The waitress was very polite, apologized and brought me another drink Togo bythe way. The food here is really good and the outside sitting area is nice as well. I have enjoyed coming here because it is close to... work for me but it?s enjoyable as well. Good vibe in this place - for a minute didn't feel like we were in Alexandria... Have dined in and done take-out - good food,... not a contender against Chicago deep dish, but good overall. Great outdoor patio area. The deep dish is enough for 2-3 easy. Bread sticks were OK - marinara sauce has a unique taste (in a good way) - a hint of sweet. Took forever! People came and went before we finally got food. Then my order was wrong. When I asked about it - they said... that was the usual order. I them explained that the menu said grilled or fried...I wanted grilled. They said again that whatthey sent out was the usual order. They did offer to prepare it again. I refused because the original order took SO long! Read more
