Promoted as the best steak in town. Order the marinated 18oz bone in Ribeye cooked medium. It comes out a hair over raw at... best. Send it back and then it comes out again ?warmed? medium raw! The flavor was fantastic but if you can?t cook the meat toorder on a $54 steak you need a new chef! The waiter apologized and offered a discount but the dinner was over and disappointingin the end. 11/12/21 Approx. 8 A.M. This was the first time I tried this restaurant. Also, it was the first place I was introduced to lamb... chops (YUMMY)! Chris our waiter was very hospitable. THE crab cake mixture was a tad bit on the salty side. The broccoli cheesesoup was flavorful, but it was brought out cold. The grilled redfish was very delicious. Too bad they don't think of makingsauce picante dishes--their sauces are pretty good. Tasted the creme brulée and beignets. The beignets are like grand biscuitswith layers--they do not make them the original way. I would pass on the beignets unless you want a version of what a PillsburyGrand biscuit type of beignet. Always a good choice when you want one of the best dining experiences Alexandria has to offer. Beautiful decor and rich... history. Service is always top notch and the kitchen keeps some of your favorites available but continually comes up with newdishes and suggestions that hit the spot. Our food was superb and our service from our private server, Chris, was AMAZING. He was attentive, courteous, and admirable in... the show of love for his job. Our catered anniversary event had the best pasta I?ve ever eaten, scrumptious vegetables, andfresh salad. The beignets were light, fluffy, and perfected. The drinks were definitely the best and catered to preference. Theatmosphere was lovely. Everything was extremely clean. The experience was one of pure elegance. Amazing start to finish! Excellent and well dressed staff. Sublime presentation of my dish (seared Halibut w citrus shrimp and... seared tomatoes and capers). I will now have to always sear my capers lol. Beautiful aesthetics as it is in an old theatre. Read more
