Reviews for Village Inn in Albuquerque, NM
Wont even give them one star but system won't let you post unless you do. Over the last 20 years I bet we have spent $1,000's... of dollars at this Village Inn. Have never had such bad service, servers with attitudes, cooks who couldn't get the food rightand/or servers who couldn't take the order correctly. Server brought coffee to our table when we told him that no one at thetable ordered coffee it was a diet coke he choose to consider us rude, threw our straws on the table walked away. From thatpoint the service just worse and worse. Read more
Very clean location with friendly staff. Ample parking since many of the businesses around it were closed or closed down... completely. I had the peach pie a’la mode and it was just what I needed. Read more
Our server brought us a pitcher of near cold coffee twice, one of which only had a single mugs worth of coffee inside. Serving... coffee from other tables is gross and extremely poor service. Our server, Jessica, did not check on us and brought the receiptwith the food. We were rushed from beginning to end despite there only being a few tables occupied. Highly dissatisfied with theexperience and will not return to this location. Read more
It’s been quite a long time since I’ve eaten at Village Inn and the food is just as delicious as I remember it being. It’s... too bad that some of their locations went out of business, because I really liked eating at Village Inn on a regular basis. Theservice here is also very friendly and attentive, but I never understood why restaurants give people the check without askingthem if they want dessert. I wish I could give them four and a half stars, but our experience was great other than that minorthing about not getting asked if we wanted dessert. Read more
I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast skillet. Everything was really good until close to my last bite when I bit into a... potato that tasted like mold. It was disgusting and after that was afraid to finish the rest of my dish for fear of eating moremoldy potatoes. Our waitress spent a lot of time visiting with customers at various tables instead of waiting on customers soservice was slow. It didn't help that they were already short staffed. My sister had the all you can eat fish and it took halfan hour at least to get her 2nd order. After that we gave up as we didn't want to spend all night waiting on food. I had goodfood and good service just a couple weeks prior so was really disappointed! First time in a very long time I haven't receivedgood service and good food at this location. With the high cost of food I expect it all to edible. Read more
Waitress was amazing! The staff was great all around! The food tasted amazing. The chili is made locally and delivered fresh... every day. Was clean, felt comfortable eating inside. Read more
Village Inn is open, as of March 11th when we visited. Every other booth was closed, but the tables were spaced about 6 feet... apart. Every table was getting occupied as we left and the lobby was pretty crowded with guests waiting. I don't think themanager I'd following covid guidelines of 33% occupancy. The food was good as ever, I had a side of green Chile with my eggs andit was as hot as any Mexican restaurant I've been to! The coffee is weak, but hot! The service was really good compared to somemore expensive restaurants I've eaten at lately, she came around at least 4 times making sure we were doing fine! Recommended! Read more
What I find interesting is when I go to this restaurant in person and order eggs Benedict it’s delicious and cooked... correctly. When I order it through Uber eats I get hard boiled eggs and raw hash browns. Every time. It’s almost like whenyou’re there in person and can hold them accountable they don’t want to play around with your food; but when you’re athome and can’t hold them accountable they want to take advantage of you and steal your money for food you’d never pay forand they would never have the nerve to serve you in person. I don’t want to hear about how they don’t like their jobs ordon’t get paid enough either. I spent money I earned at the job I don’t like and don’t get paid enough at, for thatinedible trash. Sending bad food out for delivery is theft. Period. I’d assume it was just accidental if it didn’t happenEVERY SINGLE TIME. Read more
