This is one of my mom's favorite places to go because it's right around the corner from her house and she goes here a lot. We... went here on Wednesday September 14th 2022. They set us we ordered our beers and water and proceeded to get our food (my mom hasAlzheimer's). I got two wedges of tomatoes and about 5 cucumber slices. As we went through the line my mom said that she didfeel like eating that kind of food and wanted to go somewhere else to eat Spanish food. So I told the waitress and she broughtme my check. I figured since we didn't really get anything to eat that they wouldn't charge us for the full meal. When theybrought me the ticket she charged a full meal so I talked to the manager and she was really rude and said she couldn't changethe price. I explained the situation to her about my mom but she didn't seem to care and told me that she couldn't help me orlower the price. I had to pay a full price for too lousy pieces of tomatoes and five lousy pieces of cucumbers. Needless to saywe will not be back to this place ever again to eat. My mom even said not to leave the waitress a tip but I did leave hersomething because she did serve us our drinks that's how upset my mom was. Hope you treat your customer better than that in thefuture but we will not the customers to you anymore. A good manager would have cut the price in half and understood thesituation. I know I've been manager before and ran into a lot of situations and it's real easy to make an exception. I give abig F grade to managerial skills for the girl with the purple hair. Read more

I have always cherished going with my mom she passed away in April 2021. I recently introduced my boyfriend to the Italian... eatery and he enjoyed it made me sooper happy. Always fresh and I enjoyed every nostalgic moment. The atmosphere was perfect aswell as staff. Would recommend 11/10 Read more
Food is still excellent in 2022! I?ve been coming here since I was a kid, and they have consistently delivered amazing,... delicious food with friendly service year after year after year. My wife and I had dinner here today. Service was exceptional, all the staff were friendly! The buffet items were fresh, hand... made pizza was amazing and there were four different types of pasta with numerous types of sauce to cater to anyones taste! Thebroccoli was steamed to perfection with just the right amount of butter and the green beans were seasoned well and cooked toperfection. Tomato Cafe was awesome! I love that place! They are in a new location, about four blocks from the previous restaurant. And the... new restaurant has the look and feel of their original place on Academy. If you haven't been lately, you need to go. The food isdelicious, the people are great. I believe the new was probably the previous manager. I've seen him there for years. So, there'sa lot of continuity there. If I could say only one thing about my experience, it would be that they seem to have returned totheir roots. The restaurant layout is very close to the original layout, the menu is the same, and the food is still just asdelicious as it was 20 years ago. Go check it out! Read more
Went in for a quick bite, just the posole. However it's a buffet, so I pulled open my laptop, participated in a Zoom meeting, ... and did other business online.
