The wife and I had their 7 course meal there tonight with the wine pairing for her. First off this is a place in a really nice... Neighborhood. The building is a beautifully restored and appointed atomic era custom home. Michael greeted us immediately afterwe rang the doorbell. Michael was very friendly, extremely polite, and respectful. He offered us drinks, Sarah selected a specialGerman gin with a tonic water and I had a house specialty mock tail. The drinks were expertly mixed to delicious perfection. Ithink he?s a sommelier as each wine pairing came with a full description of origin and qualities of the wine.\nThen there?s chefAlex. Throughout the meal as Michael presented each course along with expertly selected clean flatware the faire knocked oursocks off at each turn. Chef Alex only sources organic everything, makes all of the bases and dressings from scratch. Everythingthat hits the table save the beverages, is made in house from scratch. Make no mistake about it this woman knows fine dining. She definitely has formal training of some sort with dishes that need an introduction. Elevated custom chef food with a twistof gastronomy added in just the right amount. Because the food is locally sourced from the best organic producers all of themenus are custom created with what?s in season and fresh. The whole experience felt super exclusive as if you were having dinnerin your friends atomic era mansion decorated in a hip European style. They can sit parties of up to twelve at a time and maybemore with proper notice. Read more

Richard B is the best kept secret of Albuquerque. I stumbled across their listing on google and decided to book a reservation... for \"the diagnosis\" on their lunch list. I was a little nervous that they would not be able to accommodate my extensive listof food allergies but they assured me that they could. When we arrived we were a little confused because it is located in ahouse in a residential neighborhood but we were met by Michael the co-owner and husband of the Chef. We were ushered through asmall lovely garden and across a koi pond then into the house and through an art gallery to a table set in what felt like theliving room of a very cool friend. Not only was Alex able to accommodate all my food allergies but she did it with style andcreativity. Each course was interesting and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had fun chatting with Michael. My only regret was that I didn\'t go all out and book a dinner reservation. Next time we are town I will have to make sure ithappens. Read more

Michael and Chef Alex were absolutely amazing at planning a special lunch for my grandma?s birthday. We had an unforgettable... time from the wine tastings, to the various seafood courses, to the crepe dessert ending. We are so glad that we found Richard Bas it was the highlight of our trip, and we look forward to the next experience with the team. Read more

Had the very excellent 16 course tasting menu. Everything was delicious and locally sourced. The wine suggestions were also... excellent. It did take 6.5 hours, so maybe that was a bit longer than absolutely necessary, but the ambiance and the very softcat did make up for it. Also, I want a koi pond entrance to my house. Read more

I booked this place for a special celebration. It was the best decision ever. The place provided a casual, relaxed, and peaceful... environment. We had our dinner against an espectacular bamboo background next to the koi pond. The menu was presented at adeliberate slow pace (our dinner lasted almost 4.5. hours) ; most ingredients were local, organic, and fresh; they were puttogether with extraordinary ingenuity (e.g., who would think peach sorbet sprinkled with feta cheese would taste like heaven?Delightful!!).\nEach wine was carefully curated - introduced with a brief description and perfectly paired each course.\nAlexand Michael provided us with an unforgettable and delectable experience -Indeed, they are the most generous and gracious hosts. Our dinner at Richard B. made our celebration more memorable.\no sum up, give yourself the chance to experience one of the bestkept secrets in Albuquerque. I assure you: You won\'t regret it! Read more

I booked a night thinking I was just finding a place to sleep, breaking up a long drive. Instead I sat down to an unbelievable... fine dining experience, with music and atmosphere that takes you elsewhere for a little while. My stay in Ernest the Airstreamcame towards the end of a very long road trip. After days of monotonous eat, sleep, drive, I found a place where I could enjoymyself. It almost felt weird! Michael asked if I wanted dinner, I thought, well I have some bread and peanut butter in the car,I?ll be fine. Thank god he convinced me! I then ordered breakfast on the spot, mid-meal. The breakfast was unreal, amazing withthings I had never even heard of before. Alex and Michael are very thoughtful and attentive hosts, people you can connect withand that care. Many thanks for the delicious food and hospitality, I can?t even begin to explain how refreshing this experiencewas. Spend some time here and spoil yourself, it really is special. Read more

I don?t leave many reviews, but this place deserves to be known across the state of New Mexico. The fine dining vegan dishes,... the naturally rich ingredients, and the lovely presentation of the 8 course dinner is a complete refresher from your normal dayto day eats.\n\nAlex, the chef, has the taste and care of a high-end artist. Your tastebuds are in for a rejuvenating massage. They serve healthy and many homemade sauces and platters. Her genuine care for you and your specific diet is what stands outamong any other restaurant.\n\nMichael, the server and her husband, is polite and has the right cadence to his serving. He?salso passionate about supporting his wife?s cooking which brought a wholesome smile to our faces. He?s also a self-taughtarchitect and artist of his own caliber. He helped shape the ambiance of their beautiful eating area inside their home.\n\nWealso had their incredible breakfast platter the next morning! Irresistible bread and choices ????\n\nI recommend taking a detourif you must so you can experience their food and hospitality. This was the most tasty food I?ve had the pleasure of eating inmany years. Read more
