Reviews for Guava Tree Cafe in Albuquerque, NM
I adore the rebuilt casita building. I've followed this restaurant since its location many years ago on Yale and Lead.... Regardless of location I have always had quality meals here. The food is always well seasoned and delicious. The walk up stylecounter means your interaction with the server is normally limited but that doesn't stop them from being courteous and gettingyour food out to you quickly. The patio has two tables on the west side and one near the north entrance. The northern entranceis wheelchair friendly. The menu has a vegetarian friendly option modifiable to be vegan. They have a rotating offering oflemonades. It's a great place to eat and I hope it sticks around for many more years because I don't think I'll ever figure outhow to make their beef as well as they can. Read more
As a Cuban, i always tend to have high standards since my Abuela sets the bar so high! The Guava Tree has a really cute... authentic Cuban vibe! We ordered the sampler platter for the appetizer. Absolutely loved everything and the sauces! Tostoneswe?re a little dry and unsalted but the sauces made them okay. The Cubano was good! Cuban bread was a little stale but overallthe sandwich was very large for the price. The guava/cream cheese filled pastelito is served warm and was excellent! Read more

Yuuummm!!! Guava Tree came highly recommended by a number of friends so I had to try it! Their sandwiches are hot, fresh, and... delicious. I even ordered to go to have it again later that day. Add the yucca fries to your sandwich, although without youstill have plenty of food! Great way to support local and get amazing food too! Read more

I always have a great experience here the people that work here are always nice. The food that comes out of that kitchen is... worth the wait which normally isn't long. The space is a bit cramped but still enjoyable. And you can still have a conversationand not disturb others. Read more

The Classic Bowl is the perfect lunch for someone wanting a medium light taste of Cuba The rice and beans tasted freshly made,... and the thin slices of pork were tender and lightly seasoned.
