The atmosphere in this place is so cool. Service is great. I think I ordered poorly on this visit. I expected too much from a... frito pie. It is a pretty good frito pie but it wasn?t the best frito pie on my whole life. I?d give this place another chance. Read more

Update: after being confronted by the staff of the sugar and spice cafe about my first review, and being told not to give them... bad reviews? I decided to call and speak with the owner. She made me aware that my review is in the wrong place, however it isthe same owner. I was informed that I should not leave bad reviews by the owner as well. I was basically calling because I feltbullied by the staff, but the conversation escalated quickly. She told me that I was wrong, she told me there was nothing wrongwith the freshness of my food, she insulted 20 and 30 year olds, even though I am not in either of those age groups. She calledme a jerk, and took no accountability. At no time was I ever apologized to or offered any solutions to the matter. Instead I wasberated with insults about my character, and who I am as a healthcare provider? I stand by my original honest review. I reachedout to them before updating this review. I was hoping they would learn from their mistakes. The owner of this place does notcare. This is the WORST experience I have ever had with a food and beverage establishment, and I hope this review helps someonein the future. Original review below. I?m not sure about the other locations, but the on one the unm cancer center is prettybad. I don?t think there is any quality control or rotation of old items. As I write this I am looking at my garden salad that Ihave had to pick out half the ingredients because they are bad. There was mold on the chess and even the croutons are soggy. Iwould say if you have any other options at all you should explore them. Read more

This is the first time that we have ordered and had the two extremes, we got the cinnamon french toast and the croissant... sandwich. The croissant was delicious; it was soft, flakey and lightly buttery. It was a great sweet pairing with the savory eggand ham. The croissant came with cheesy hash browns, which were tasty but it is hard to screw up hash browns. The french toasthowever is probably the saddest excuse for French toast that i have ever had. It was dry, flavorless and almost worse thaneating just a plan slice of toast. We also got the pecan sticky bun which was right in the middle had some great flavor toppingsbut the bun itself was very dry Read more

We ordered the enchiladas, omelette, breakfast burrito, and chicken salad in croissant with pasta salad. The portion size is... smaller than we expected for the breakfast burrito and enchiladas. My mom did not like the pasta salad as well. But everythingelse is great! Their drinks are amazing. I enjoy their lattes and teas. Still 5 stars because this is one of the few decentbrunch places my dogs can come. lol. And I love bring them everywhere! They also sell dog treats which my pups love! They dofeel included in our brunch dates. ???? Read more

Very kind waitstaff. Bathrooms and tables were clean. They have gender neutral bathrooms if you?re uncomfortable using a binary... one. Feels incredibly safe. Very cute decor. Amazing food and times. Their lavender latte is to die for. :) Read more

Holy cow! Drove all the way from Austin, TX to Albuquerque, NM for this place and it was WORTH IT!!!! OMG! The crepes are... amazing... better than yhat... they will last in your memory until the end of time. Ok... so 1st of all... I got started withthe Artisan Pile-up... it had everything (eggs, hashbrown, red and green sauce, sausage, bacon, and cheese. I added thehouse-made tortilla (seriously, I saw the guy made the tortilla). Blew my mind. Followed that up with the E & C. Just eggs, hashbrowns, bacon with added sausage and English muffin. So good... the eggs were perfectly over-easy, hashbrowns covered withcheese were still crisp on the outside and hot and juicy inside. Marvelous!!! Washed it down with a cappuccino. Which was alsopretty good. The mocha latte was way better though. But the best is the crepes... so light and fluffy... so absolutelydelicious. I haven't had a breakfast this good since... EVER. The Chef is a Mad Genius! The staff cares that you have a greatmeal. Atmosphere is great, no rush... it even has garden swings... how crazy awesome is that! That said... get here early... theparking lot is small. Read more
