Our friends really love this restaurant and invited us for our first time. We were very impressed with the service. Despite how... busy it got later on a Friday night, we were immediately greeted, seated and drink orders placed. It?s small but quaint and wellworth a visit. I ordered the cheeseburger and my wife got the chicken wrap. The pulled pork was also excellent. We really lovedthe sweet potato fries. Service was perfectly on point. Both our server and the manager checked in on us multiple times. Again, this was at full capacity. Read more

Small but adorable place. I had the eggs benedict and my friend had the pulled pork. Both of them were excellent. The... portions are not huge and you don't walk out feeling sick because you are so full! Highly recommend this place. Was only openfor breakfast/ lunch on Sunday. Read more

An instant favorite! Lunch, mid week, late winter. Excellent service despite being very busy. We were immediately acknowledged... by one of the owner/managers, Matt, and then greeted less than a minute later by our very friendly and fun server Atanza. Satin the last available table. Vibe was warm, casual, authentic and unpretentious. Service was perfectly on point. Both our serverand the manager checked in on us multiple times. Again, this was at full capacity. And they didn't just check on us, theygenuinely chatted. We had the Ruben, which was excellent and what we came for, but we wish we had time to sample more becausethe menu has so many enticing choices (see photos). We can't wait to go back and are already making plans to. First specialnote: The fries! They are incredible. Simple but perfection; clean oil, the right temp, crispy on the outside with zero excessoil or grease, and fluffy perfection on the inside. These might be the best basic fries we ever had. If there was a Michelinstar for plain fries, The Hen & The Hog would get one. Second special note: They serve Finnigans Dead Poet stout. Finnigans isa Twin Cities based non-profit beer that donates its proceeds to feed the hungry locally. Just another classy move by thisstellar diner. Read more

I read good reviews about The Hen & The Hog on Facebook, so we decided to try it out. I ordered The Hog, and it was delicious.... Although it was a bit expensive, it was worth it. I also enjoyed the slaw and roasted potatoes. We were hoping to try thebreakfast options, but we didn?t know it was only on weekends. Read more
