Not good at all. We waited nearly 40 mins to get our food and we were one of 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. Prices were... increased and upon ordering we were told the salads aren?t complementary as it says on the menu. (Additional $2) it also said itcame with rice and we didn?t get that. Server asked how our water was?.. it was super awkward. Each plate was $14. Wayoverpriced for the quality and quantity of food. My husbands dish was 1/2 onions and when we told the server he was like ?oh.?The restaurant is dirty, menus are old and worn out, sauce bottles are gooey and sticky. A waste of money. Moldy panels on theceiling that people were seated under. Worst dining experience we?ve had in Albany. Read more

Try the pho king special! One of the best bowls of pho in the western states! I had pho last night and veggie delight with... chicken, pictured, yummy. Read more

Good food and service. A traveling workmate brought me here and we were not disappointed. He travels a lot and has lots of... choices and comes here when he can, so that says a lot for the quality when the company could pay for something more expensive. The warm bowl hit the spot on the typical Portland drizzling day. The interior of the restaurant is a bit quirky, but it'sclean. Read more

As I continue my conquest this morning against all the places that have wronged me, I couldn?t forget about Sam City. Let?s hit... the important things? The customer service was fine. The atmosphere was awful. Luckily though we were seated in a cozy spotnear the bucket catching the dripping water from the ceiling. I tried ordering a meal. They were out of the sauce for it. Triedsomething else. They were out of it. Ordered a beef plate and was greeted with overly sauced meat and some rice (mind you, theadvertised picture had shown vegetables). Here?s the thing: I?m not against the whole ?hole-in-the-wall? restaurant niche, but Ipaid 18.00 plus tip for this experience. Be responsible, put that money in your child?s college fund instead, or buy some weedand make a late evening trip to Chipotle to cure your munchies for a much better (and cheaper) experience. I?ll leave you withthis: When the guy finally brings our food out, he says, ?you know what?s funny, I actually found the sauce for the meal youinitially wanted?. Read more
