Oddest trip I've ever made to a McDonald's. I buy iced tea at McD's once or twice a week. I always ask for it with no straw... and no lid, as I pour it directly into my insulated Swig cup. Never had a problem at any OTHER McD's when making this requestbefore. However, at this particular franchise, when I got to the window and they started to hand me a covered glass and astraw, I told them I didn't need either the lid or the straw, and they pulled the drink back from extending it to me, left thewindow for 5 minutes and came back with a glass filled to the very top with tepidly warm tea and no ice of any kind. When Iasked about the lack of ice, they asked me, "Oh, did you want ICE??" Well... yeah. Hence, why else would I have ordered ICEDtea? The response, "Well, how am I-I-I-I-I supposed to know?" This one...right here. If I ever go to eat McDonald's it's going to be this one. It's like dazed and confused meets walking dead... but in the best ways possible. So eager to be of help and conscientious of the energy footprint they're leaving too. When thelights off didn't scare me away and the lack of response at the drive-in still left me feeling that warm welcome feeling onlyMcDonald's fries and plastic cheese can offer, I took the initiative and sought help at the window itself. Placing only an orderof beverages I felt confident in my approach and the girl with the bewildered look if her face's, ability to handle theimpromptu order style I was bombarding her shift with. curious I asked, are you closed?" Uh......she replied. It was 10 theyclose at 1 am. Can I get a water and high c? Uh.... Again with her poetic swagger ....
