So good! The spam musubi and Mac salad are new favorites of mine, and the home made teriyaki sauce takes everything to a whole... new level. Only real complaint is the food truck is a limited menu, and the Mac salad could be a bigger scoop (but who am Ikidding, I had leftovers anyway). I?ll definitely be stopping by their drive thru in Albany to try the rest of the menu! Read more
It's okay... Tried it for the first time today. The food wasn't bad, however I'd say it's mediocre at best. To be honest,... Hawaiian Time is way better. Better chicken, better Mac salad hands down. Grindz has bland flavor, which might be good if youlike Retirement home style low flavoring... The chicken is way too dry, sauce it up folks.... The mac salad was kinda funky,like it has mustard in it, not gross but sour and odd. Would I eat it again? For $12 a plate.. I'm probably not going back. Read more
Great food, and the order waa ready quickly. I hate macaroni salad and coleslaw yet I throughly enjoyed theirs. It doesn't have... that nasty onion puke taste that American slaw and macaroni salad taste like to me. I've never liked coleslaw before. I actuallyliked theirs though. Plus the meal made me feel healthy. Big trucks can park in the center lane and run over real quick. I'llbe back. Read more
Shoyu chicken and kalua pork were both really good, the rice was cooked perfectly and the teriyaki sauce was awesome, the mac... salad was a good side, i didnt care for the flavor of the slaw however it was crisp and fresh so i could appreciate its qualityit just had an odd flavor to me, all in all a great place to eat. Its the hawaiian food you are looking for. I can say that everything i tried was excellent imo Kalua pork was tender salted... nicely, rice cooked great not too soft of hard , famous mac salad is balanced, pineapple slaw with a kick it a standout im sureive never had it like that slaw on another level And to top it off LAVA ROCKS ???? ???? After being closed for a week and a half unexpectedly now they won't honor a $10 reward I had with them that is getting ready to... expire. Twice I drove out of the way to get there and they were unexpectedly closed during their regular business hours. Nowthat I had to go out of town they aren't willing to make it right in any way. Even though they were closed for a whole week anda half. These people are really flaky and are rarely open during their business hours they state they are open. On top of thatthe food they serve is really bad quality to the point I didn't even want to finish eating it. The lava rocks are the only thingthat are good there. I was wanting to redeem the reward I had for some lava rocks, but they won't honor it. Read more
What does $6 get you for a side? 2 musubi wraps, which consists of; 2 slices of cooked spam (grilled is advertised, though i... couldn't tell), covered on both sides with roughly 1.5 cups of ok sticky rice, wrapped individually in seaweed. All combininginto an average to subpar snack depending on your tastes. What an absolute rip off.
