It was my first time coming here, I had heard great things and was excited to try it out. I made an online reservation for 7:30... the day prior for my partner's birthday dinner, but upon arriving, we were told we would have to wait at the bar and that ourtable was not ready yet. After over 10 minutes of waiting we were seated in the dining area and ordered our appetizer. Thecalamari came out quickly, but dry, like it had been sitting around for a while. This wasn?t a huge deal, and at least we hadthe marinara to save the flavor. Throughout the duration of our meal at least 5 different people were waiting on us, which isoutrageous to me/not good service to a customer expecting a relaxed, sit down dinner without wondering who our waitress was. AsI looked around the place I could see dust covering almost everything and crooked decorations on the walls. We spent about anhour and a half here, most of the time waiting on either our wine or the main courses to come out. Nearing the end of the meal,I told a waitress it was my partner?s birthday and kindly asked if the restaurant provided anything special for this. Withouteven the crack of a smile, the woman goes, ?I can get you a desert menu?, not even glancing at my partner and seeminglydismissing that question. Everyone here besides the bartender up front seemed some shade of miserable tonight and it really puta damper on this ?elegant? birthday dinner. I have been coming to Albany for work monthly for years. This is the only place I eat at while in town. I come here 5 days in a... row monthly for 8 years now! The food is excellent and the service is even better. Don?t think about it. Just get here. Youwon?t be disappointed. Read more

RUN don?t walk to this establishment for your next meal or event. Just had my birthday dinner here - there were 10 of us and we... were probably a lot to handle ???? but I seriously can not say enough amazing things about this place. From the impeccableservice to the fabulous drinks & the absolutely phenomenal food. The ambiance is intimate yet welcoming, making it the perfectlocation for any type of gathering. Also SO reasonably priced, I questioned if we had the right bill at the end of our meal. Isometimes forget about this place because of the location, but I will definitely be a regular going forward. Shout out to Katie& all contributing staff (I?m sorry I forgot names bc my espresso martini was that good????) as well as the manager who was apleasure, like everyone else in the building.
