Tacos were cold, beef instead of chicken that I ordered, had tomatoes which I asked not to be not put on due to allergy, and... skipped the avocado that I paid extra for. Child?s meal hamburger that was ordered had a taco instead. And someone else?sburrito was in the bag! The salsa I ordered and paid for was less than half full. I got terrible food poisoning from this place. I probably haven?t been so sick from food poisoning in years. I?m not sure if... some sort of stomach flu or some thing was going around but clearly the employees are not washing their hands properly ormaintaining food hygiene. Fast and friendly staff, large selection of food to choose from.
Not great but a fun time nonetheless. A food explosion. 3 of 6 ordered items were wrong (minus 3 stars), but they corrected it... quickly and without fuss (plus 1 star). Portions were good for the cost (plus one star). Flavor was fine for fastfood. Overheard _multiple_ arguments among staff, a bit less professional than I expected (minus a big star). 5-3+1+1-1.3 = 2.7stars. Read more
This visit was to the Del Taco in Alamogordo, NM on Fri 7/8/2022. Excellent food as always at any Del Taco! Its fast food... yes, but everything is made on site, as it always has been since Mr. Hackbarth opened the very first Del Taco ever. We used tobe Taco Bell fans, but Del Taco won us over years ago with better food, better pricing and everything made in house (handchopped lettuce and tomato, hand shredded cheese, beans cooked in house etc). However, we dined in and found the tables need tobe cleaner. Tables and floors were sticky and many had crumbs or food remnants from the last customer. We totally understandmany service industry businesses are struggling with labor shortages and being constantly short handed, combined with manyemployees and even managers being new and possibly inexperienced, so we're not going to complain too much about "could becleaner". Just worth mentioning because we know these reviews are often read by owners, managers, franchisees etc. But anyway, each persons visit is only a brief snapshot of the conditions at a business and how it operates, so it might be totallydifferent and perfectly clean at other times and most times.
