Every time we fly into the Oakland area, we go to La Penca Azul. By far the best Mexican food in the Alameda area. It is a bit... noisy but not so bad I have to turn up my hearing aids. Has a few areas for larger groups. Good servers who are friendly. Thedon't try to push you out. Read more
Incredible taco bar! Loved the fresh tortillas and the toppings. I tried the vegan tacos. 5 stars and will come back for sure!!

I?ve been a customer for years. But give me a break I ordered guacamole, 12$. And get, what 15 chips? And two tortillas... with the fajitas? (In my note, I politely asked for more. The place is a great spot. Quiet, beautiful. The service is good. Some waitresses are better than others in their customer... service. All friendly. The food is not bad but It is very seasoned. More than they need. Plates are huge so you can share. Theyare pet friendly. They have tables outside. The price is between 20-30 if you share and don?t drink. It is 30-50 if you drinksome tequilas.
