It was okay, but this review is for my first time here. I ordered some nigiri, a lion king roll, and hot sake. The lion king... roll wasn't nasty, but didnt really have flavor. The hot sake was fine, but there was some stuff in the container floatingaround. The staff were okay. I'd come back for another try. Read more

We had the King Kong, Lion King, Deluxe Spicy Tuna and Blonde Bombshell rolls. The King Kong was probably my favorite. The Lion... King wasn't quite as good as the one at Sushi House but definitely arrived sooner. Read more

This place is weird. Growing up Japanese myself, everything about this place feels wrong. It is consistently empty and not very... comfortable, no ramen, and their udon has a bunch of weird stuff in it. I hadn't been here in years and went again the otherweek wondering why. Then I remembered. Staff is efficient and friendly but the Japanese places on Park are substantially moreworthwhile, or just cut your losses and go to Japantown in SF Read more

Friendly service from the cooks and the serving staff. Food is okay. It does feel a little bit like fast-food sushi but quality... is there. I like it that you can go there alone or with your whole family /group of friends. It is convivial. Read more

I?m not sure why it took us so long to try Katsu. We?ve been living aboard our boat in Alameda for 3 years and have been to... other Japanese restaurants on the island. Maybe we assumed it would be too expensive since it is on Webster. Or maybe we thoughtparking would be an issue like other spots on Webster. Neither of these excuses were true. Our first visit to Katsu wasexcellent with ample free parking in the back, excellent service from the staff from the minute we walked in the door anddelicious, beautiful, well prepared sushi dishes at reasonable prices. This is our new sushi goto in Alameda, hands down. Read more
