Reviews for Hobnob in Alameda, CA
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Alameda. I've been coming here for years. I think it is under new ownership now, but... the 5 Star Quality and Service is the same. Where can you get Truffle crispy Fries? Read more
Had brunch here again last lockdown. The works and the corn beef had were really good with perfectly poached eggs. Very good... bloody Mary and cocktails. Bartender and staff were attentive and friendly. Will definitely go back. Bartender makes greatcocktails. Green bean appetizer was really good and the ahi tuna tacos were also good. Read more
went to Hob Nob after Alameda Point for the first time today and have to say it?s pretty damn amazing! food was really good,... especially for what had been a hole in the wall dive bar until kinda recently. lots of table seating at both high and low tablesand plenty of spots at the bar. food seemed a tad high till we got served and have to say it was well worth every penny! theirbunch menu is a tad small but covers all major brunch items and with a 20$ bottomless mimosa, you just can?t go wrong! I?malready looking forward to my next visit and am still full from todays! Read more
The Hobnob is a cozy restaurant and bar located on historic Park Street in Alameda. The staff on both the bar and dining sides... are welcoming and gracious. They serve American style food with their own touch and the bar offers well-crafted drinks with agenerous offering of House Cocktails. We had Prosciutto Croquettas for an appetizer followed by a Brie Burger and Fish&Chips. Both were delicious. I heartily recommend the Hobnob. Read more

So yummy! She said it was the best spinach salad she ever had. The baked truffle mac n cheese was rich and delightful. And Steph... Curry fries were delicious snacking too. Plus local beers on tap. A delight of a place. Read more
Okay... I thought this was a pandemic thing... But it turns out this place just can't get it right. I've been about six times.... Live right down the street ; and it just never seals the deal. Like 3.5 stars every time I go. It just feels like everything ishalf-hearted. It's too bright inside. Food is well seasoned but never executed correctly: burger is cooked perfectly but cheeseisn't melted, brussel sprouts are charred but super crunchy and uncooked. Bar program seems like it's great on paper; but, whenyou get the drink they're either too sweet too dry or too boring. Standard drink prices 12. To $14 for a cocktail, theirs are$14, and it seems a little steep for what you're getting. They have 2 (two) TVs at the bar, but both TVs are set up to the samestation... What's the point? If you have two TVs, have two cable boxes. This seems like an oversight, or maybe a cheappo thing. It'd be really nice to watch two things at once with... Two TVs. Bar staff are always good but not wonderful. Servers arealways good but not great. For me, I tried and I just can't keep going. I will say though: this place has a unique, subtlecharm, they greet you as you walk in, service is on point, and the food is good. It's worth a shot, or 3, But probably not 9. Read more
