This is my go to restaurant for yummy and delicious fish tacos, fried plantans with the Amarillo dipping sauce. Make sure you... order and extra one because it's really delicious. And for the fish tacos, don't just order one or two. Trust me, your tummywill be very happy. So far, when my friends come in town, it's nice to add "Cholita Linda" as a go to place. They have twolocations and I would go to either one and know that I will be pleased with the food. Those fish tacos WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.Fresh, flavorful, lightly battered and fried. The pictures don't do justice. Thank you, Cholita Linda Team! Keep cranking outgooood food. Lastly, I've been coming here for year's & would host events at my house with Cholita Linda's food. I took my aunt here for her birthday her choice they did not have fountain drinks only bottled coke they did not disclose all of... the ingredients on the menu and when I got my plate it had a sauce that did not know about of like I was forced to tip BEFOREeating which I never do cause I feel a tip is a plus for good service and reflects the service so not only was I not satisfied Itipped for bad sevice. The cashier was nice but NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! Read more

Best place to have salad. Their salad is super fresh and relatively inexpensive, unlike other fancy places around where you get... the same salad for double the price. Their chicken tacos are amazing too. ???? Read more

This is the third time I have eaten at La Cholita in Alameda in the past 3 months. The food just never has a lot of flavor.... Their Telegraph location in Oakland is great, but this one in Alameda lacks quality and flavor. I hope their quality controlmanagers figure this out soon because I like La Cholita. Read more

The restaurant was a little behind with our to-go order, but everything was made perfectly and brought straight to me. We order... the usual fish tacos and chicken plate. The yucca fries are the best. P.S. did the recipe for the dipping sauce change? Read more

Loved the vibe, location, music, and food was good. The tostones were different than what I am use to. Normally I eat tostones... with a mango salsa but they had Picodillo on top, I personally wasn?t a fan of this. The guacamole and chips were good, whiterice was good, black beans were good, and plátanos. I just wasn?t a fan of the Picodillo, I wouldn?t get this dishagain. Great music and beautiful atmosphere. The frescas aquas were amazing! Would highly recommend! Read more

I love this place! You order at the register then sit down and you get an electric buzzer. You do bus your own table at the... end. I love the fish tacos so much I haven't really gotten to try the rest of the menu. I have no complaints! Fish tacos and amargarita and I've got a big smile on my face!!! Def give this place a try. We love Cholita Linda, been fans of theirs since their farmers market stall days. So happy to see them here in Alameda although... the Temescal location isn't that far a jaunt. **Updated during Pandemic times: Cholita Linda has become a monthly rotation inour takeout since I became overwhelmed cooking all meals, ALL THE TIME during the pandemic. Their fish tacos are where it's at,although everything we've ordered here has been a hit. Fried with a satisfyingly crunchy exterior, the inside is nicely seasonedand never fishy tasting. If I'm trying to fool myself with a healthier option I order the salad with fish- but I'm not foolinganyone! Crisp, chilled mixed greens. shredded cabbage, and vibrant radish slices comes topped with crushed tortilla strips, perfectly seasoned and cooked black beans, drizzled with rich crema, and OH- A GENEROUS PORTION OF THEIR FAMOUS FRIED FISH. Makesure you order a side of tortillas to assemble your own fish tacos and their house-made hot sauce, whatever you get. It's a niceblend of heat, vinegar, and spices that perks up and accents their food nicely. The tostones con picadillo is a better dealthan the picadillo plate as the quantity in the latter is a bit paltry. The agua frescas are not too sweet (our favorites arethe blackberry strawberry, or strawberry mango) and the house sangria is a nice blend of fruit and wine- we have yet to trytheir maizena de coco for dessert, but I'm sure it's tasty just like the rest of their menu!
