Wow! This was our first time ordering from here and it was amazing! Even though the restaurant is 18 minutes away, the food... arrived at a reasonable temperature. Everything was expertly prepared, and delicious. The lamb kabob was super tender andflavorful and a perfect medium rare. The lamb burger was well-seasoned and juicy. I will definitely order again and I'mplanning to visit in person soon to try everything fresh off the grill! Read more

Giving it a 5-star only because I can?t give 6. Best Turkish food I?ve had outside of Turkey. The chef / owner Serkan Yilmaz?s... attention to detail is impeccable. We had the butcher kofte, ?imam fainted?, lamb kebab and a couple of appetizers and they wereall perfect. It was almost closing time so had to skip desserts but will be back for those. Prices are very reasonable for thehigh quality. Unfortunately I don?t live nearby otherwise I?d be eating here at least once a week. Read more

Wonderful Mediterranean restaurant serving the Alameda west side. It?s a very friendly local place with wonderful decor. The... outside patio is accommodating and you will not want to leave. The menu is well priced with lots of choices. Try the beet saladfor an appetizer and the lamb kebab as an entree. You will not be disappointed. Definitely will visit again to try the rest ofthe menu. Flavorful Mediterranean food. Good variety for vegetarians in appetizers. There were only a few vegetarian entrees. We ordered... Fainted Imam, an eggplant dish. While the preparation was exquisite, I felt that the taste was lacking compared with the otherdishes we ordered as appetizers. A good dining experience overall. Read more

Three of us shared 3 appetizers, 3 main courses and three desserts. All of us thought each bite was delicious. We would have... been happy with just the dinner but decided to have dessert. Verdict? The baklava was the best I have ever tasted--and I haveeaten a lot of baklava from NY to CA. And then there was the poached quince with a honey nut sauce and a lovely pudding as well.Ala also has a lovely patio in addition to a well spaced dining room and takeout. Don't miss this one. Had an amazing and flavorsome time at ALA! Had two yummy starters the Cigar Borek which was crispy phyllo dough filled with... cheese and came with a refreshing herb dip and the Mucver which was Zucchini carrot and scallions patty?s served with a Greekdill yogurt which complimented the starter. For the entree had the Lamb Kabob which was delicious it had the best rice I had ina long time, the lamb was perfectly cooked and the pita was delicious. For desserts my table tried all three. Baklava which wascrispy, sweet and delicious, Revani which was a delicious moist cake with cream on the side and Sutlac which was my favorite, arice puddling with cinnamon and roasted hazelnuts, that I feel I could eat for breakfast it was so good. The servers were soamazing and helpful and made it an wonderful experience I won?t forget soon. Read more
