Smoked prime rib, best ever. Nice char. Spicy green beans weren't spicy but fresh. White French dressing is very good, salad... cold and crisp. Ran out of Liver & Onions. (bummer for mom). Desert was great chocolate cake and like a lemon mousse cake?Service was excellent (Ben?). Had a podcast on Thursday until around 6:00 which was really annoying as it was loud and hard tohear ourselves talk so come later. Music followed with DJ. Good soul (Throwback Thursday). Again, a little loud for us butmost of the growing crowd enjoyed it. Read more

Disappointing. Restaurant opened at 5, bar opened at 4 when we arrived. My wife and I sat at the bar to have a cocktail where we... endured an employee vacuuming the floor AFTER the bar had opened, completely oblivious to the fact customers were present. Hint:GET YOUR CLEANING DONE BEFORE THE DOORS OPEN! This wasn’t the pleasant experience we were hoping for and simply very tacky. Abusboy came to our table to remove plates but was holding a large styrofoam cup with a straw that he was drinking from as heasked if he could take our plates. We said “yes” and he proceeded to put his own styrofoam cup on the bar, where customerswere sitting, then came back a few minutes later to get it. Glen Gillespie — get someone to manage the front of the house whocan bring some order and discipline to your operation for the benefit of your patrons and add some class to the atmosphere. Weget it — you spend a great deal of focus on the food - which we usually enjoy. But we won’t be back for a while after ourlatest experience, which to us demonstrated you’ve lost track of the full customer experience in the front of the house. Abartender working in a tee shirt isn’t bringing the caliber of leadership you need in the front of the house to improve theexperience for your patrons. We’re rooting for you but please address these shortcomings. There’s a lot of competition forour dining dollars and we simply won’t go to places that provide a mediocre experience. Friends ask about our experiences atEdgar’s and we tell them. Read more

I ended up ordering a to go order to try it out. And I was very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the fried ribs and prime rib.... I’m not much of a rib person but they intrigued me and I was pleasantly surprised! The prime rib was also fabulous. And thehorsey sauce with it was amazing as well. Not to mention the staff was amazing and efficient. Lily the to go specialist/host wasvery friendly and on top of everything. As soon as I walked in and gave my name she had my food ready to go. Which is alwaysnice instead of having to stand around waiting for it. I will be returning and probably trying dine in next time. Read more

I visited Edgar's a year ago everything was excellent. I went back this year again for my BD party on 15. 3 people got sick.... Prime Rib was sent back by me. It was over cooked and to thin to be what I ordered. Old potatoes and the salad wilted. Oyster'swere old. We all were disappointed. I am never going back. I could go on but I have made my point. I didn't know it changedownership Read more

Happened upon this gem while visiting friends in Akron. The staff was amazing but the plus was our waitress who happened to also... be the manager on duty. She was so delight and suggested some great dishes. Pictured is the stuffed Catfish. ???? I recommend???? I loved the band but my only dislike was the house music. The volume was quite loud at times which caused us topractically scream at one another. Once the band was ready, the house music was off for what seemed to be the remainder of ourtime at the location. Read more

I visited Edgar's for the first time and definitely plan on making more visits in the future. The staff is very professional... and prompt with service. Our waitress Cami (apologies if it is not spelled correctly ????) was AMAZING! Her attentiveness, patience, and service was nothing less than perfect. I ordered the stuffed catfish. LAWD HELP MEEEEEEEEE!! My mouth has neverexperienced such harmony with the combination of shrimp, catfish, and crab topped with sauteed asparagus and a sprinkle of blackbeans. I purposely saved half so I could relish in this dish later at home. To enhance my gastronomic experience even further,I dared to order the baklava cheesecake for dessert. Somebody STOP ME! The combination is deeeeelish. A great meal complimentedwith an ambiance that is relaxing yet upscale and classy. I would recommend Edgar's to anyone who is looking for this type ofexperience.
