I prob just ordered the wrong dish. Very little lobster, scallops, but too many shrimp. Pasta was to wide and just ok. Sauce... needed more spice and not creamy or rich. My dates meal was delicious. Scallops over risotta looked perfect. Nice atmosphere andvery clean and ecletic. Read more
Loved the location and energy here. Shared the Wedge salad and it was tasty. My entree was the Seafood Pappardelle. Portion... size was good but the pasta was too al dente for my taste. The texture felt like it was warmed under a salamander. 1st timer,I will go back again. Read more
First they didn?t have blue moon. Second service was awesome. Crab cakes appetizer phenomenal. I got a lamb shank and lobster... Mac n cheese. Wifey got salmon and sweet potatoes. Both dishes were great. Beer selection sucked. I think maybe sound deadeningor something would help. Our server has to tell the specials. I doubt they play music the way it?s so loud in there. Great food and service. I ordered crab stuffed shrimp which came with mashed potatoes and veggies. The veggies were zucchini and... squash. When asked what other veggies they had, they said they only had asparagus for a $4 upcharge. I found the lack of optionsregarding sides a turn off. Which is why I deducted one star. After living in Cuyahoga Falls and Akron for years, it was finally time to try Chowder House! And it did not disappoint....the... shrimp and scallops grits appetizer was probably my favorite dish of the evening. Cheesy, perfectly seasoned, and filling. Thewedge salad had loads of toppings and was perfect for sharing. Finally, the entrees were the perfect main course... Crab cakeswith fabulous homemade creamed corn and the twisted noodles (ahi tuna dish). There was nothing I wouldn't order again!Reasonably priced and nice eclectic ambiance, although the interior was a little run-down. Service was average, and this placeis BYOB with $5 or $6 corking fee... Will definitely be going back!! Read more
Very good food! I had the Pad Thai. It was perfect! The man had Et ou fee. My mom had the clam chowder. The little one ended up... eating half of it! The small person had some noodles with the best Alfredo sauce I have had! Crab cakes were also delicious. Thechef Jason was amazing and our waitress was very accommodating. Overall great experience. We love the Chowder House. It's one of the best seafood restaurants in town. I've had amazing meals there. The place is... quant, not too large or loud. The staff makes you feel right at home. The owner is very passionate about her restaurant. Theyalways have chef specials. Try the lobster bisque or the raw oysters! Both amazing! Read more
