I?ve been to McCoy many time. I always enjoyed the burgers, but this time my burger was not very good. I ordered the Braised... Beef Burger combo with gravy. About 2 years ago I gave them 1 star because I went home with raw burgers. I went back today to give them another chance and it... looks like they simplified their menu and, the burger was actually really good. I had the Mr. Mccoy combo and liked the friesbecause of the seasoning they put on it, just they put more of it. Glad I gave it another shot. Read more
Definitely one of the best places in Durham to go and grab a burger. The staff was super friendly and nice. I would recommend... the chicken burger it was nice a crispy, this place reminds me of Big M?s in Pickering that has been there for 40 plus years.For a good burger I would recommend this place to anyone. Late afternoon lunch or early dinner. The smash burger and fresh cut fries were amazing. My lady had the poutine and gravy and... curd was amazing. The only drawback was the brown cashier person was a little rude and unfriendly to a few customers when mygroup was having our food. He needs some coach back! At first we were happy with the portion sizes, they were huge. But hubby's burger was soaked in the sauces they used to the... point where it was almost ineatible without a fork and knife. The burger was bland despite the amount of sauces that werecoating the burger and both sides of the Bun. Our children had the tenders, they were over cooked and difficult for them to bitethrough. Our fries although the flavor was good, were over cooked. I ordered the buttermilk chicken burger, which upon seeingwas massive, but as I began to eat it realized quickly that it was mostly just the breaded and actually contained very littlechicken and was over cooked as well. They had no non-pop options for the kids. They only had Coke, Diet Coke, sprite and gingerale. We had high hopes for this burger joint as the staff was mostly friendly. My legit burger go to spot after moving to Ajax! You can tell their burgers are hand made, toppings are always fresh and their... portions are massive.
