The Willcox is our local 'go to' for a nice time or should you have friends in from out of town. The ambience, history & service... are most often above par. Our Server for Brunch was phenomenal. (Emanuel) was friendly, fun & attentive. The food however wasnot phenomenal. Country Ham & Eggs Benedict: poached eggs still harbored egg white slime. Undercooked. The english muffins werebuttered & delicious but overly toasted & required a lot of effort to enjoy. The other person in my party ordered a Caesarsalad. There was a huge portion but it was swimming in dressing. The Willcox is a beautiful location. The food has never beenoutstanding but everything combined always makes it a fun experience. Very mediocre. This is not a “prime” dining experience. Very limited menu. Sides are served in small cups, and a shame... because they were the best part of the meal. Zero presentation. Wonderful club-like atmosphere. Net net, no compelling reasonto return. Read more
Get there before 5 PM and you'll be able to find a table or couch in the historic front parlor. It gets very busy after 5pm so... either make a reservation for the patio or a table in the front, it's first come first serve usually for one of the couches,which is the best way to check all the comings and goings. Hummus plate is very good. Although we've noticed the servings onthe dishes have become smaller it's still a wonderful place to go for an elevated happy hour or unique dinner sitting. I always recommend the Willcox Restaurant to anyone searching for an upscale place for a fantastic dinner. The food is always... amazing, but it's the level of service from the staff that really make The Willcox such an amazing place to be. My fiancé and Ihave spent countless evenings here and it's always a pleasure to get such lovely service from Matt, Cam, Hillary, both John's,Jaylen, Olivia, Tiaki, and the rest of the team.
