The place has a lot of potential and great ambiance. Unfortunately that is it. We had dinner last night. Our server was... absolutely disinterested in being there. The drinks were mediocre at best. Other than the truffle fries which were surprisinglygood the food was sub par. Read more

Disinterested server. Did not know what to recommend for their own menu. Asked for ketchup and they just handed me a bottle... instead of giving it in a condiment bowl as you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Food besides the appetizers wasinedible. We were a party of four and noine touched thier entree (chef's special steak or pork chop). Wait time for a courseranged from 45 mins to an hour to arrive. Still left the place hungry. Would not recommend. Read more

Chefs special steaks were overcooked and under seasoned. Clams was very gritty, couldn't eat them. Service could be improved,... had to ask for water and utensils. Wouldn't recommend. Read more

We were very disappointed in our Christmas Eve dinner. The ambiance was lovely, great live music and our server seemed fine .... Unfortunately, the entire meal was really substandard and the dessert was completely inedible. It was clear that other tablesweren?t happy as well. The fish was frozen and they used really low quality ingredients. Very sad as it was pricey, $75 perperson, and we were hoping to have a new spot to go to in Aiken. We won?t be returning. Read more

We came with friends from our of town and were disappointed. Our server, Lindsay, obviously didn't want to be there. The... potatoes in the duck dish as well as the sea bass entree were obviously reheated and unpleasant. The sea bass had raw onions ontop and missing at least one component. The duck had no skin and was overcooked. Another diner was making a scene over hismeal. There are better restaurants in Aiken. This may have been a great place in the past but they seem to be relying on theirname rather than good food. The piano player and atmosphere were the highlights of the evening. I won't be back. Great high-end restaurant located in one of the historic Aiken estates. Food was fantastic. Smaller wine list than I would have... expected but we found both a chardonnay and a pinot noirs that fit our needs. The porter braised short rib was incredible if youare looking for an entree and the beef tartare was excellent. Read more

We came for our anniversary on what happened to be the first Chef?s Dinner experience. Hands down, one of my top 5 (maybe top 3)... dinner experiences of all time. The food was excellent, and the chef explained each course and the thought behind it. It was funto do a tasting menu together with everyone else at the restaurant. It felt like we were one big family. I will definitely becoming back here when we?re in the area again Read more
