Food was excellent! The level of service was top notch! It is a smaller restaurant, but reasonable room. If you're not... bothered by somewhat closer quarters then you'll enjoy the coziness as I did. An excellent overall experience! Read more

Way overpriced for what you get. At first I was excited as I usually don't scoff at pricing because I know what it takes to... produce quality dishes. I was thinking I was about to be won over... The food just isn't as elevated as the prices. The dishesare pretty simple and didn't really peak my interest after trying all four of the ones at our table. The drink prices areabsolutely ridiculous; the cocktails from the bar were basic. The beers were so ridiculously overpriced that I actually laughedquite loudly. $8 Basic Imports (Heineken, Stella) Sodas: Stupidly high price: $5 for a Coke... I just can't recommend this as afine restaurant and the pricing puts it into another category all together: Obnoxious. Read more

We arrived at 6:20, and even though they say they open at 6, there were about a dozen people in front of us waiting. At 6:30,... the Hostess came out and seated the first group telling everyone that they were short staffed. Everyone else was left to waitoutside in the heat. Meanwhile, a party of 5 snuck in the side door and was apparently seated. 15 minutes later, the Hostesscomes out to seat the next group, again leaving everyone else outside. I have no idea why she couldn't have just seatedeveryone inside and let us wait at tables in the AC. It was not crowded or full inside. The last straw was when a newly arrivedgroup of 4 was told they would be seated in 5 minutes, after there were already 4 of us ahead of them who had been waiting anhour. It's fine if the owner wants to run a personal restaurant for his buddies, but don't advertise it as a publicestablishment. We went to Taj of Aiken and got right in, were waited on right away and had a great meal. Note to owner - ifeveryone is calling out sick, maybe it's because of the way you treat them. With the lack of respect you show your customers, Icringe to think how you treat your staff. Read more

Meatballs as an app, a huge salad, pasta w mushrooms & artichokes, & Prosecco? everything was delicious. They also carry San... Benedetto peach & lemon tea which is a fav in our house. We were too full for dessert but their cappuccino was terrific. Read more

Absolutely amazing! I am a tough critic and Macaluso?s did not disappoint! Had a drink at the Rose Bar on the second floor while... we waiting for our table! The bread is authentic and perfect! Get the ricotta meatballs as an appetizer! If I finish a meatball, you know it?s delicious! I had the Staten Island Rigatoni with chicken Parmesan which is like a lasagna with chicken Parmesan! The chicken is tender and amazing! Read more

My mom and I came tonight for the very first time after seeing House of Gucci, to complete our Italian themed evening. After... waiting almost a year to try this place, I must say we left disappointed. Everything in my review will be factual as to notleave room for subjectivity. We started our meal off with the meatball appetizer, which was good, except the marinara sauce waswatery ($18.00). We then received our bread basket with one individual loaf of cold, chewy, Italian bread and a plate of oliveoil w/ no seasonings. After that we ordered our entree?s, which took approximately 30 minutes to arrive at our table, therigatoni bolognese ($21.00) had red pepper flakes in it which made it too spicy for me to eat, and the olive oil and garlicpasta ($18.00) had so much garlic it would?ve needed another pound of pasta to balance it out. Finally we received our check andmy Diet Coke was $5 per glass (I had 2, so it came to $10), and despite telling the server that we didn?t like the rigatoni andclearly not eating any of it, we were still charged for it. Overall, the restaurant is not set up to create any atmosphere as itis one open room, so it is very loud and hard to have any conversation. The prices are definitely on the high side for Aiken, aswell as the quality of the dishes, but the ingredients are among the best, so that may be why. I would definitely not recommendthis place to anyone, as it has some very obvious opportunities, but I wish them the best. Read more
