My wife and I had lunch there. She had salmon on a croissant and I had the French dip with home fried potatoes. They were very... busy so it took a while to get our order, but still in a reasonable time. The food was very good. The ambiance and decor is veryAiken. In spite of being crowded, it wasn't too noisy. It's a bit pricey, but the whole experience was well worth it. This isnow on the list of "where do you want to go". I'm looking forward to trying to quiche. Read more

Based on the two skimpy $12 sandwiches and sides we picked up the other day, we'll give La Parisienne a generous three stars.... They left off the pesto on both sandwiches and got the sides wrong and judging from the laundry list of items they were out ofwhen we called in our order (e.g. quiche, croques, Swiss cheese, potato salad, and pesto apparently), there might be some sortof supply issue. They do deserve the benefit of the doubt; unfortunately, we're not going to take that chance again. Read more

Food Quality is tops! Ambiance is great. Portion sizes are proper French, rather than over served bulk American style. Service... is good, but not stellar (doesn't seem to be anyone over 20). Read more

Super yummy croissants and macaroons, great coffee in a cute home style bakery. Will come back next time we're in Aiken.

There are very few things in life that are as comforting as an overnight stay at The Willcox and it is the early morning aromas... from the French bakery next door! The pastry chef was amazingly kind and welcoming with her baked creation?s aromas soothing thesoul! Looking forward towards our next visit already as everything tasted amazing. Read more

There?s not another restaurant like this in Aiken and there isn?t a need for one, either. The breakfast here is really good, the... crepes are sweet and flavorful and the croissants are stuffed full. I love the bakery and I love their coffee. They have adiverse selection of macron flavors and they are absolutely to die for. My only wish is they were open a bit longer with theirhours. Read more

You definitely need to go in the morning!! They were almost out of all baked goods when we got there. We went around 1:30 on a... Saturday afternoon. The macarons were AMAZING. I preferred the chocolate twist over the chocolate croissant. But the chocolatecroissant was still very good. We will be back and to sit down and eat next time. Read more

Go for the macarons, stay for a croissant. You order at a deli counter and then the cashier will bring you your order. The... building has the potential to be charming but is not designed for people with mobility issues (injured, handicapped, elderly). In good weather I would probably really enjoy eating outside on their lovely patio. However, I have a broken foot and I?m usinga knee-scooter. While they do have a ramp going into the dining area, there is no access for someone trying to go into the delion a wheeled device. You need to be able to roll through a gravel parking lot to the deli entrance OR walk down to steps fromthe dining to the deli. This isn?t a reflection of their food but it is very inconvenient if anybody has mobility issues.Thereis no way that someone in a wheelchair would be able to order and themselves. ** A proper wait staff who came and took orderswould make the experience better for those who have difficulty navigating the cramped building.** Pros: Some of the food we?vehad has been truly excellent. It is authentic and reasonably priced. I thoroughly enjoyed the quiche Lorraine. My party got 10macarons and ALL were delish. I personally loved the kalmata olives in the potato salad side but my dinner companions didnot. Cons: Some of the items listed on the menu are not available when you place your order (Fries, Goat cheese panini). Mypiece of bread pudding tasted burnt. The building itself is very awkward to navigate and not really wheelchair accessible. Thestaff seems to still be learning the menu. These cons aren?t really a big deal when you consider that this food is made freshand not from some chain supplier. Read more
