Reviews for The Shebang in Afton, OK
Definitely worth a visit! The atmosphere here is terrific, and the food is great. I would say that this place feels like a mini... vacay and there is a great boutique next door with pieces from Italy. Definitely good for a photo opp, and a great place toremember. The menu is definitely affordable for all that it has to offer as far as overall vibe/ experience. This restaurant islocated not too far from Shangri La. You should stop in when you are in the area. I would give this place 10 stars. The food was excellent, the staff was amazing but the building was so full of fun we went... there three times in five days. Twice for dinner and once for a drink in the bar with the locals. We even ordered their tasty, tasty pizza to go. Read more
Amazing food, awesome atmosphere, and friendly staff! Well worth the drive if you're coming from out of town. I had the Chicken... Fettuccine Alfredo, the portion was enough for 2. It was so good! Cool restaurant with so much character. Read more
The evening I went with my daughter they had no seating in the restaurant, but were very kind and found us a place to sit on the... patio; which, was very nice as it was much quieter. Our waitress was very kind and helpful too. Read more
Worst chicken fried steak I?ve ever had. So soggy all the breading just fell off. No crisp at all. This place used to be good,... I?ve eaten here for years. I don?t know what happened but the food has really gone downhill. The crab dip was not as good as itused to be. I wish it was how it used to be! I wouldn?t come here to eat dinner again. Read more
The food was delicious. I had the Cajun Shrimp, with sweet potato fries and a salad. The 8 shrimp were good and the fries were... delicious, but the ranch on the salad was a bit flavorless. The portion size was definitely an issue for me at $26 for theplate. My wife and kid had Prime Rib and Pizza. The prime rib was a VERY big portion (22oz?) and was $50, which also seemed abit overpriced, but my wife said it was quite tasty. My son's Pizza was very good, as well (I stole a piece, because my mealdidn't fill me up). It was $11, which I felt was on par with the size and taste. Add in a few drinks and a cheesecake (which wasaverage) and our total was over $100. Since this was the only close place open at the time, I guess they can get away withcharging more, but my wife and I felt that the quality/quantity was more close to the $60-75 range. Read more
My family flew in from Wichita to enjoy this unique dining experience! We weren?t disappointed! Our server, Nancy, was... wonderful! My husband and I enjoyed the spinach and artichoke dip before our Filet Mignon Specials. The food was delicious andthe atmosphere was so fun! Our girls loved putting on a show while we waited for our food. I was super tickled by all of thecheeky menu descriptions! Very clever! ???? We will certainly be back some day! Read more
Service was very good. Good was good. It has small dining rooms so the one loud person kind of overpowered any other... conversation you tried to have. Person was just a loud talker. I think she would be like that no matter where are was. I don'tthink she realized how loud she was. I know more about her than I wanted/needed to know. Read more
