Really nice atmosphere, great selection of wines..and if you are not into wine, they have a beer/drinks menu from next door that... they will bring to you! Hungry? Same deal...the staff run next door and grab food and drinks from the Afton House. The staffis knowledgeable and very friendly and attentive. Read more
My husband and myself stumbled upon the Afton Inn over a year ago...and all it has to offer including the swirl and the currant.... We can not even begin to express how much we are in love with not only this place but the girls and all the staff including theowner! They are like family....the restaurant and experience is always the same....it is always our go to place! Excellentstaff...Makala, Sara and the others always make it a special time...keep up the great work...the food is exceptional, and thewine tasting is always fun! We have stayed overnight in the historic Inn...and also enjoy the fun event 5 course meals with winetasting in the Wheel room.... we are customers who appreciate and love you gals! Read more
Service wasn?t the greatest and food was ok. They must have the same kitchen as the restaurant right around the corner called... The Current has the same food. We had pulled pork, which was kinda salty, but the truffle fries were good. Other dish waspasta linguine with shrimp which was ok, but nothing special about it. They did have outdoor seating with live music and I?msure their wine is probably great. Just wasn?t impressed by service or food. Read more
Great day to enjoy the 4th July. Swirl has beautiful American flags everywhere, many tables are available outdoors and indoors.... Great, super friendly service. Cesar salad and flatbread margarita pizza were fresh and tasty. Cesar salad supposed to bewithout the chicken, it was fixed right the way. Besides Swirl has a phenomenal wine selection. I really recommend this placefor a nice quite , private event, even if you are with your wife only . Thank you guys ! Read more
My husband and I have been regulars here since the summer of 2010. We visited on a Groupon for wine tasting and have been loyal... patrons ever since. The staff is always friendly and the wine selection is always on point. We became members of the Wine Clubthat day in 2010 and have enjoyed learning and growing our knowledge and passion for wine along with others. Swirl offers themedwine dinner for a reasonable price and an exclusive wine cruise for Club members. Read more
Usually try to visit any place a few times before leaving a review, I get it, not every visit is going to be flawless, but I... don?t think we?ll try again. Edamame was ok, avocado wontons came out cold and weren?t anything special. Linguine Caprese withchicken was highly acidic and also came out cold with bread that smelled like it was doused in lighter fluid. Turkey Burger wasgenuinely bad. 10oz. Sirloin arrived well done the first time, medium well the second time, 20 minutes later. It was orderedmedium rare. Deserts were? average. Shrimp Boom Boom flatbread and sweet potato fries were the only genuinely good things wehad. High top tables were extremely uncomfortable. I get the aesthetic but uneven stone tile top tables don?t belong in a winebar. I had to ask several times for a water refill but glasses of wine and cocktails were refilled fast, felt like I was beingignored for not adding more money to the check. Somebody has to drive home! Check had to be fixed twice. Just an overalldisappointing experience. Read more
