This place was my favorite.times have changed so has this place. I should have walked away the minute the server cut the brisket... the wrong way (with the grain ????) however I asked for my cut to be against the grain. I had a 4 meat plate with 2 sides. Thebrisket was okay but no flavor ribs were good ???? and the sausage( regular and jalapeno with cheese )both dry very littleflavor ?? and my side item was cheesey potatoes dry not much cheese or butter flavor ?? very disappointed drove out of my way 21miles never again. Great place for some local BBQ. Tried the brisket and jalapeño sausage and I would say that the brisket was great but the... sausage was a bit dried out. The mustard potato salad was on point and so was the cole slaw. Not a bad sweet tea or lemonadethat's ready to pour at your leisure. Read more
BBQ isn?t good. The brisket didn?t have flavor, sausage was dry, sauce didn?t taste good, potato salad was nasty. Trash was... overflowing, sitting area loud. Customer service was alright. Not worth the overpriced food! You?re almost better off going toBill Millers! Read more
Food and music were great. Also, big plus for parents that they have a playground. Only issue I had was wasting $1 on a couple... kiddy ride machines that didn't seem to work even though they were plugged in (should be an out of order sign). Other than that,was a good experience. Tastes just like I remember ???? I hate to admit that it had been about 10 years since I'd been back to Texas Pride BBQ, why has... it taken me this long?!?!?! Well, let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I ordered a brisket plate, with two sides. I endedup getting green beans, and some of the best Mac &Cheese around! So yummy.!!!! I also had the pleasure of speaking to the ownerbriefly, he was so kind, and was constantly making sure his staff was in the "Know". The day we went they were overwhelmed withand event and you could tell the staff was just doing a remarkable job of serving up all of this food. ???? Great Job! ???? Asfar as the brisket, it was perfection! Moist and savory like it should be, didn't need the BBQ sauce, it was that GOOD on it'sown. I give them FIVE yummy faces hands down. I love that it's a nice 40 drive from San Antonio into the country. Helps you disconnect a bit from your reality by experiencing... a bit of country. Food is great! Had a barbecue sandwich and shiner bock onion rings that definitely hit the spot. You can sitinside or enjoy some live music outside which is covered. Has a bar and a dance floor. Worth the drive ... check it out! Read more
friendly staff the kind that make you feel welcomed food was pretty good the ribs are what stood out the most On Point. .price... was fair with ordering the ½lb and chose 3 different meats (serving size for 2) with ordering 4 sides and a drink (can big red)it was about $31 and some change..not a bad choice for food and drinks with a full bar and plenty of inside space. .Go CheckThis Place Out If You Havent Already! I was a little disappointed as the sign said Texas Pride Bar B Q and antiques ( I thought antique store , not just stuff in the... place that the owner may or may not sell.) I had the brisket french fries, would not have again the French Fries were soggy ,and did not care for the cheese it did not seem .... melted enough , smooth enough? Queso might have been better , or cheesemore shredded. My husband had a 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs with potato salad and beans , I tasted his sliced brisket anda bite of ribs, delicious. I had my own potato salad it was very good.We go to hill country all the time and will stop hereagain. Read more
