We went on a Sunday around noon. Apparently we were kind of early for their Sunday Funday as they were just opening. My jerk... chicken and cabbage was really good. My friends didn't like some of their food and their Waffles were cold. The server waspolite but slow and it wasn't that crowded. The dj was pretty good. Read more

First of all, they may not pick up, but you maybe able to text them. Waiting on food now will come back with update. Update !... Just got my food, it smelled amazing, It’s nice and hot. The jerk chicken is so tender and spicy. The sauces are nice andseasoned! Definitely recommend! Read more

I made a reservation and purchased a Mimosa Tower for my birthday brunch for their Rhythms and Brunch Sunday. We arrived a... little after 4pm and was immediately taken to our table. After being seated at 4:06, a young lady came over to ask us if wewanted a hookah, which we declined. After that, we had to flag down 2 waitresses. The first waitress we stopped at 4:26, no onehad given us water, nothing. I asked her who our waitress was and she pretended to be concerned. She walked over to the kitchenentrance area and then turned around and went back to cleaning tables. 10 more minutes pass and at 4:36, flagged down anotherwaitress who did the same! I get up and asked the hostess who was our server and where was my mimosa t ower. She gave us water,and it took another 10 minutes before someone came over. By this time a young lady came and offered us a shot...I wanted foodand the mismosa tower that I paid for. She was anle to get the tower sent over and one of the ladies we stopped earlier wasbringing it over with another person! Shortly after that, a young who had been serving and sitting with the ladies and anothercouple in front of us, states she is sorry and new and didn't know she was our server. We sat for over 40 minutes whilewaitresses cleaned tables and closed other people out with NO SERVICE. Mind you when you purchase the towers, there is norefund, so I wasn't leaving until I had it! After finally getting served our food around 5;20, we noticed we were basically theonly patrons left . We ate lukewarm food and asked to speak to the manager. His attitude about the situation was upsetting. Hegave excuses that they were short-staffed. They didn't look short to me when plenty were walking around cleaning off tables. Hepretended to NOT KNOW his own employees when described. He kept asking what did we want him to do about it?!?! Sir, this isyour establishment. Sunday funday is everything here! We were served by Simone for my friends birthday brunch. One word…AMAZING. Food amazing,... service amazing, vibe amazing. DJ was on point. Lots of r&b/hip new & old. If you love a good Sunday funday then Cafe 214 iswhere it’s at PERIOD! Read more

The best collard greens I've had it Dallas. Waiter informed that it's only on Sunday that they have "those greens" lol. Good... oxtails. Good bread pudding. Nice rum punch. Pleased with the fast service. I'll be back. 5 stars are really for those damngreens!!! ???? Read more

Food was amazing. Rum punch was okay.. If the music wasn't so damn loud I could have enjoyed eating and socializing with my... friends! We asked if it could be lowered and the waitress said she asked already and they said NO. The bass of speakers wasvibrating my butt and back it was so loud in there. Geez! Read more

This restaurant specializes in Afro-caribean quisine. They also have karaoke and hookah smoking. I don't do either of these but... a patron asked if I objected to him sitting near me and smoking the hookah and I told him that I did object so he was moved toanother area of the restaurant. I went with a friend of mine who had been there the week before for a special event. Theybrought me some food and it was delicious prepared. I ordered the red snapper for $35. That was the market rate, but it was byfar the worst tasting fish that I had ever tasted. It was prepared by the owner who is Jamaican, but he needs to stick with thechicken and oxtails. The presentation was as poor as the flavor. The waitstaff stayed in the corner and another staff member wassitting on a booth with his feet on the seats. I know that it wasn't cleaned after he got up. Additionally, I was brought myfood in Styrofoam even though I was dining in. I sent it back. This was both offensive and tacky. I believe that they try to cutcorners whenever they can even though they charge premium prices. Two thumbs down for them. Read more
